Salisbury High (7-0)
The Hornets remain unbeaten on the season at 7-0 and are 2-0 currently in the Central Carolina Conference. They’ve got wins over Thomasville and West Davidson heading into the holiday break. Wake Forest commit Jayden Harris Jayden Harris 6'6" | SG Salisbury | 2024 State #220 Nation NC leads the way for Salisbury High with 32.0 PPG as he looks to break the school’s career scoring record. He’s also averaging 7.6 RPG, 2.6 APG and 2.1 SPG. Sophomore Braylon Taylor has stepped up in the backcourt as well with 12.4 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 2.3 APG and 1.6 SPG. He’s having a strong impact alongside Harris. Junior guard Bryce Dalton Bryce Dalton 5'9" | PG Salisbury | 2025 NC leads the team in assists per game with 4.3 as well. They’ll face JL Chambers High and Concord Academy this weekend before returning to conference action.
North Rowan High (4-3)
The Cavaliers are 2-0 in the Central Carolina Conference following a 63-62 victory over Thomasville on Wednesday night. 2025 Dyzarius Carpenter is one leading name to know with this group. He had 23 points against Thomasville while 2024 Amir Alexander chipped in with 13 points and 2024 George Maxwell chipped in with 10 points. Carpenter is a lethal 6-foot-3 wing to deal with while Alexander has his own skill set to deal with with his 6-foot-3 strong frame. Maxwell is a guard in their backcourt that knows how to operate. They’re worth keeping eyes on in the Central Carolina Conference.
Lexington High (3-6)
The Yellowjackets are just 3-6 on the season but they’ve won two straight games to kick off their schedule in Central Carolina Conference action. They’ve got a few young pieces to get to know in junior Jaylen Henderson and sophomores Andre Gyabaah Andre Gyabaah 6'6" | PF Lexington Senior | 2026 State NC and Valience Luketa. Luketa led the way for them in their victory over South Davidson with 19 points. Henderson leads the way for Lexington High with 12.9 PPG. Luketa is right behind him with 10.7 PPG while Gyabaah is producing 7.1 PPG. Sophomore Aaron Holmes Aaron Holmes 5'9" | PG Lexington Senior | 2026 State NC and junior guard Naquel Wood are names to know as well. They’ve had a rough start to the season but should bounce back in conference action.
