- I had boots on the ground for a SOLD OUT contest between Cathedral and Warren Central. These two schools were ranked #17 and #19 respectively in our Prep Hoops Indiana Preseason Super Poll. It was a fast-paced affair from the opening tip as both teams got hot from beyond the arc and really never cooled off. Eventually, the Fighting Irish’s ball pressure wore down Warren Central a bit as they pulled away for a convincing 92-71 victory. 6’8″ junior wing Brady Koehler Brady Koehler 6'9" | SF Cathedral | 2025 State #199 Nation IN was the story of the game scoring 26 points including five three-points. Junior guard Deric Cannday added 15 points, Keaton Aldridge Jr Keaton Aldridge Jr 6'4" | SF Cathedral | 2026 State IN . chipped in 14 points, and Lebron Gough Lebron Gough 6'1" | PG Cathedral | 2025 State IN finished with 10 points. For the Warriors, Ezekiel Kirby Ezekiel Kirby 5'10" | PG Warren Central | 2025 State IN put up 21 points while Jevon Guess Jevon Guess 6'6" | PF Warren Central | 2025 State IN finished with 13 points and Damien Keys Damien Keys 6'1" | PG Warren Central | 2024 IN added in 12 points.
- Ajani Washington Ajani Washington 6'2" | SG New Haven | 2024 State IN scored 31 points for New Haven, but Woodlan came out on top 66-64. Trey Yoder Trey Yoder 6'6" | PF Woodlan | 2025 State IN , a junior forward, scored 26 points while senior guard Braden Smith Braden Smith 6'2" | PG Woodlan | 2024 State IN finished with 22 points for Woodlan in the win.
- Senior guard Caleb Parks Caleb Parks 6'2" | SG Bishop Noll | 2024 State IN went off for 34 points and 8 rebounds in Bishop Noll’s impressive 77-61 win over Munster.
- Caroll (Fort Wayne) defeated Norwell 66-49 on the back of a balanced scoring effort. Junior guard Jaiyre Sampson Jaiyre Sampson 5'10" | PG Fort Wayne Carroll | 2025 State IN scored 21 points while seniors Jaxon Pardon Jaxon Pardon 6'4" | SG Fort Wayne Carroll | 2024 State IN and Cannen Houser Cannen Houser 6'5" | SG Fort Wayne Carroll | 2024 State IN finished with 14 and 13 points respectively along with a combined 10 assists. In the loss for Norwell, Ashton Federspiel Ashton Federspiel 6'4" | PF Norwell | 2024 IN scored a game-high 36 points.
- Class 3A #5 Brebeuf Jesuit moved to 2-0 on the young season with a 66-42 victory against Hamilton Southeastern. Butler signee Evan Haywood Evan Haywood 6'4" | SG Brebeuf Jesuit | 2024 State #231 Nation IN scored 25 points while pulling down 8 rebounds.
- Robert Sorensen Robert Sorensen 6'0" | PG Guerin Catholic | 2024 State IN scored 24 points while Bryson Cardinal Bryson Cardinal 6'6" | PF Guerin Catholic | 2025 State IN put up 23 points and 13 rebounds in a 72-59 win for Guerin Catholic over Park Tudor.
- Scottsburg dominated Austin 86-35 in their season-opener. Kody Clancy Kody Clancy 6'4" | PG Scottsburg | 2024 State IN finished with 32 points and joined the Warriors 1,000 point club. Wyatt Zellers and Jack Miller Jack Miller 6'5" | SG Scottsburg | 2024 State IN scored 18 and 16 points respectively.
