Justin Pippen Justin Pippen 6'3" | PG Sierra Canyon | 2024 State CA-S | 6-3 | G | Sierra Canyon
When we release our updated 2024 rankings in the next couple of weeks, Pippen will likely be the biggest “stock riser” on that list. The son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen is experiencing a similar trajectory that his older brother Scotty did heading into his senior season. Justin had dominant moments throughout the fall and flashed impressive command of the position and a combination of playmaking and scoring punch that trends toward him being an impact Division 1 player.
Tanner Jones Tanner Jones 6'4" | SG Campbell Hall | 2024 State CA-S | 6-2 | SG | Campbell Hall
Jones was quiet this fall due to an injury but the 6-foot-2 shooting guard is one of the better mid-range scorers in the class. The senior is physical, athletic and has a true jump shot with great lift and exceptional rotation and touch. Jones is also a strong downhill driver who can absorb and finish through contact around the rim. If healthy this season, he should see plenty of Division 1 interest.
Darrell Morris Jr. | 5-10 | PG | West Ranch
Morris is one of the quickest players with the ball in his hands in the state. The 5-foot-10 point guard is a blur in transition and is an automatic paint touch in open court and half-court settings. What separates Morris from some others in the class is his ability to defend the ball. His quick hands and feet allow him to speed up ball handlers and create turnovers which he converts into transition offense.
Amare Campbell Amare Campbell 6'0" | PG Etiwanda | 2024 State CA-S | 5-11 | G | Etiwanda
Campbell opened some eyes over the summer while playing with the Oakland Soliders on the EYBL circuit and generated some high Division II interest. The senior has a strong frame, great speed in the open court and his game is predicated on the defensive end where he’s a lock-down on-ball defender. Offensively, Campbell is great at getting into the lane and finishing through contact.
Devin Ringer Devin Ringer 6'2" | SG Redondo Union | 2024 State CA-S | 6-2 | CG | Redondo Union
Ringer has a chance to really break out this season as one of the primary options on what should be a good Redondo Union team. The 6-foot-2 combo guard uses his ability to shoot off the catch when playing off the ball but has become a steady decision-maker and reliable playmaker for teammates off the dribble over the last couple of seasons.
