This is the class that has the best basketball from top to bottom. This was definitely a hard team to pick but we made it happen. Here are our preseason picks.
*All players are listed in alphabetical order

Kameron Williams Kameron Williams 6'7" | SF Lafayette Christian | 2024 State #60 Nation LA (6’7″ | LCA | 2024)
Kameron Williams Kameron Williams 6'7" | SF Lafayette Christian | 2024 State #60 Nation LA , 2024’s top player, has led Lafayette Christian to Marsh Madness his previous three seasons. The Tulane commit will need to have another big season to close the deal on a title for LCA. Drew Timmons Drew Timmons 6'6" | SF Archbishop Hannan | 2025 State #52 Nation LA , the top player in the 2025 class has one championship. He will look to add another one this season while maintaining the play that has kept him at the top. Javon Johnson Javon Johnson 6'1" | CG Bossier | 2024 State LA will be the lead guard on a Bossier Bearkat squad looking to defend their title. He has some refined point guard skills to go with his shooting which will make him very dangerous this year. Lionel Larvadain Lionel Larvadain 6'0" | PG McMain | 2024 State LA is the most explosive point guard in the Boot. His ability to finish above the rim makes him exciting to watch. Jordan Mathews Jordan Mathews 6'5" | SF Peabody | 2024 State LA is the best hybrid big Louisiana has. He can score inside and out while rebounding on both ends almost at will.
2nd Team
Christian Creppel Christian Creppel 6'5" | SF Archbishop Shaw | 2024 State LA (6’4″ | Archbishop Shaw | 2024)
Daijon Leatherman Daijon Leatherman 6'9" | PF Carver | 2025 State LA (6’8″ | Carver | 2025)
Colossians Mason-Jones Colossians Mason-Jones 5'11" | PG BTW-Shreveport | 2024 State LA (6’0″ | BTW-Shreveport | 2024)
Jordan Matthews Jordan Matthews 6'0" | PG Vandebilt Catholic | 2025 State LA (5’10” | Vandebilt Catholic | 2025)
Michael Mouton Michael Mouton 6'5" | SG St. Thomas More | 2024 State LA (6’4″ | St. Thomas More | 2024)
Daijon Leatherman Daijon Leatherman 6'9" | PF Carver | 2025 State LA was the anchor on a Carver squad who won a state title last season. His improved offense, while still providing stellar defense, should be big for the Rams this year. Michael Mouton Michael Mouton 6'5" | SG St. Thomas More | 2024 State LA is as steady as it gets. I look for him to improve his scoring and being more vocal on the court in his final campaign. Jordan Matthews Jordan Matthews 6'0" | PG Vandebilt Catholic | 2025 State LA may be the best pure point guard in his class. He can pass and shoot which should keep defenders off balance all season. Christian Creppel Christian Creppel 6'5" | SF Archbishop Shaw | 2024 State LA can score from the mid-range in. His ability to run the floor and rebound will help him be a player to watch this season. Colossians Mason-Jones Colossians Mason-Jones 5'11" | PG BTW-Shreveport | 2024 State LA filled it up all summer for Coach Kenny Sykes. His ability to play with or without the ball in his hands will make him a pleasure to watch this season.
As the season progresses, look for these players to be the focal point of their programs as they all try to win a state title for their respective schools.
