Difficult to think of Young as a small school player, however he’ll have a terrific opportunity to be one of the key guys for a NIAA eligible Mater program. He can shoot it, but his improved playmaking ability, may be the key to his team’s success this season.
Wright is a great piece to one of the best backcourts in 3A. He serves several roles, with his ability to space the perimeter as well as create for teammates.
Highlights
Chamberlain was a moster for an Elko team, that was one game away from repeating. Make no mistake, Elko will be a contender again, in large part because of the senior foward. Look for him to improve on his 10 point 5 rebound junior season.
Davis will probably be a household name before the season ends. The high energy foward is going to have an opportunity to play a lot more with the ball in his hands for Hug, and given his skill and size, he could prove to be a matchup nightmare for opponents.
Highlights
Bartlett brings a wealth of exprience to the defending 2A state champs, having come off a state title of his own with Durango. He’s a versatile defender, that can quickly become a fan favorite, because of his hustle and extra effort ablity.
