Breeden is a player that I’ve watched a lot of during the high school Spring and Summer circuit. It was fun getting to watch him against Middle School Competition, what stood out most was his unselfishness, as the guard was able to set up players for good looks at the basket. His willingness to dish the ball opened eyes at the event.
Vari Floyd Johnson
Vari Floyd Johnson
Floyd is a guy that did a little bit of everything at the camp. He opened eyes with his defensive tenacity and versatility. While his unique finishing style wasn’t new to me, he opened eyes with several runners and floaters in the lane.
Keyotti Evans
Keyotti Evans
We didn’t have a trophy, but if we did Evans would have taken home the courage award. Despite what seemed like a serious injury, the wing forward bounce back and competed at times what seemed like on one leg. He was good too, as despite the injury, he managed to impact the game by rebounding and finishing in transition.
Maleki Sims
Maleki Sims
I’ve seen a little of Sims, but didn’t realize how much of a dawg he was until now. The uber competitive, combo was tough, showing the ability to repeatedly get downhill and finish in transition.
Karega McCollum
Karega McCollum
Mccollum is a competitive player that liked to mix it up. He opened some eyes with his fiestyness, scraping for loose balls, and gaurding defenders. He even made an impact on the interior, getting a couple tough blocks against bigger opponents.
Alyo Hawkins
Alyo Hawkins
Hawkins has been a player who’s stock is gaining momentum. The wing is a good finishers, but at the combine he really opened eyes with his shooting. The wing sniper knocked down 12 threes in the shooting test, and it translated to the game as he displayed a smooth release, knocking down several catch and shoot threes. He was named to the All Star game for his efforts.
