-Best shooter discussions in the DMV always have to begin with the Duke commit, who has arguably been the best shooter in the area since debuting with the Panthers as a freshman. The 6’5 SG gets his shot off in a hurry and routinely cashes out from 30 feet.
Jake Williams Jake Williams 6'4" | SG Sidwell Friends | 2024 State MD ’24 6’4 SG Sidwell
-Would put Williams amongst the best shooters regardless of class, probably the most consistent catch+shoot marksmen in the area. Has developed a 1-dribble pull-up going either direction in the wings and corners to balance out his shooting range. Williams serves as an effective floor spacer to open up driving lanes for his perimeter teammates at Sidwell
Blake Harper Blake Harper 6'5" | SG Gonzaga | 2024 State MD ’24 6’5 G Gonzaga
-Harper saw his stock rise this summer as he grew to 6’5 before committing to Howard this past week. The lefty guard will make defenses pay for collapsing on double-teams for either of his backcourt teammates or Christian Gurdak Christian Gurdak 6'9" | C Gonzaga | 2025 State #156 Nation MD on the block. Consistent, confident shooter that plays within his role.
Kingston Price Kingston Price 6'1" | PG Severn | 2024 State MD Severn School
-Steady point guard prospects has seen his stock rise this past summer with high-level scoring outbursts in DMV Live. Routinely baits the defender into going under screens so he can reject and raise up beyond the arc to knock down a triple. Comfortable hitting shots off the bounce but will also hit catch-and-shoot looks at the basket

-Dynamic scoring guard had a 4-game stretch scoring 24+ points before going down with a calf injury last season. His ability to score off the bounce dissuades hard closeouts, but he is also effective coming off of screens for movement 3s.
Mekhai Johnson Mekhai Johnson 5'10" | PG McDonough | 2025 State MD 6’5 G Ireton
-6’5 St Joseph’s commit shot 46% from 3 in the two sessions of DMV Live on over 3 attempts per game as he looked much more aggressive for an Ireton team that needed his scoring production and ability to stretch the floor.
Lucas Sekasi Lucas Sekasi 6'5" | SG Jackson-Reed | 2024 State MD 6’4 G Jackson-Reed
-Although his development as a distributor and ballhandler has improved over the past year, Sekasi’s calling card remains his ability to knock down the 3 ball and score efficiently off of pull-ups in the paint.
Jack Furman Jack Furman 6'3" | SG Riverdale Baptist | 2024 State MD 6’3 G Riverdale
-Had two monster scoring outputs of 37 and 38 points last season in conference play, largely due to his perimeter scoring. Fills it up with in-the-gym range, scoring off of screens or off the bounce at an equal clip.
Doyle Brown Doyle Brown 6'1" | SG Bethel Academy | 2024 State VA 6’1 G Fairfax Christian
-Brown does most of his damage coming off of pindowns and by spotting up in transitions but the senior guard hits shots with consistency
Shamir Taylor Shamir Taylor 5'11" | PG St. Charles | 2024 State MD 5’11 G St Charles
-The lefty floor general hits crazy shots off the dribble with range, completely unfazed by ball pressure and contests- might be the most confident shooter in the area
