#6 David Katoa David Katoa 6'4" | CG Layton | 2024 State #255 Nation UT || Layton High School || University of Utah ||
One of the more anticipated returns from a player from injury in a long time. Last season David’s junior year came to a stop and he is close to coming back and he has returned home and will suit up for Layton High School. David is electric and he is heading to the University of Utah next year and they look to take him and transform him even more. Look for David to be more of a lead guard and more shooting from him. The last 3 seasons he has played against the best players in the country and he is ready to make an impact at Layton.
#7 Dutch Dowdell Dutch Dowdell 6'6" | SG Olympus | 2024 State #310 Nation UT || Olympus High School || Harvard ||
One of the best shooters out West and he has size at the SG position. Love that we have a local kid heading out East and even more that he is heading to one of the best schools in the country. This is a big 40 year plan business decision and Dutch will be all business heading into his senior year. Look for him to light it up like always but he has more than just an outside jumper, do not sleep on Dutch’s ability to get to the rim.
#8 Owen Mackay Owen Mackay 6'5" | CG Snow Canyon | 2024 State UT || Snow Canyon High School ||
Might be one of the best athletes in the state as Owen is a leaper and he does on the court and on the track field as well. Owen is likely to be in the 20 + PPG this season and although he might not have a loaded roster like other schools he is good enough to take over and blow a game wide open. Owen plays the right way and he can defend his position at the college level. He can defend 1-3 when it comes to high level players. One of the most upsides in the Top 10 because he does it all on both ends of the floor.
#9 Hunter Hansen Hunter Hansen 6'4" | PG Fremont | 2024 State UT || Fremont High School || Weber State University ||
Hunter is a high quality player and his ability to be a lead guard and an off the ball guard with his size is really good for him. He can shoot but he also get to the rim. He took some of the AAU Season off to get healthy fo rhis senior year so look for him to hit the ground running a refreshed.
#10 Tanner Davis Tanner Davis 6'5" | PG Sky View | 2024 State UT || Sky View High School || Utah Tech University ||
Tanner is one of the highest rising stock players from freshman to senior year and it proves that hard work regardless of what high school you are at you can be found. Tanne rplaying on a high level AAU team that played on a great platform really helped as he could go up against some solid talent across the country helped. Tanner can play and he will be able to show it at Utah Tech for sure.
