Any of the players on the first team below could make good arguments for this honor, but we’ll give the nod to the efficient wing from Sheffield, an impact two-way player who ices game away at the line for the division’s best team.
First Team
2024 Sage Suntken Sage Suntken 6'0" | CG West Fork | 2024 State IA (West Fork): 14.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.1 steals, 39.9 3P%, 97.8 FT%
Suntken and Cayde Eberling pair up to give West Fork one of the best backcourts in small-school basketball. Suntken is a sniper from deep and one of the best free-throw shooters in the state, and he has been excellent as a playmaker and on the glass as well.
2024 Cayde Eberling (West Fork): 16.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.9 steals, 48.8 FG%
The other half of the Warhawks’ fantastic backcourt, Eberling does more of his damage by getting to the rim and using his 6-4 frame to finish through contact. He’s a gifted passer and solid defender as well.
2025 Colby Eskildsen Colby Eskildsen 6'6" | SF Northwood-Kensett | 2025 State IA (Northwood-Kensett): 14.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.2 steals, 1.4 blocks
A skilled 6-4/6-5 combo forward who can do a little bit of everything, Eskildsen led the Vikings in every major category as a sophomore. His versatility on both ends of the floor makes him an extremely difficult matchup in the TOI.
2025 Madden Uhlenhopp Madden Uhlenhopp 6'1" | SG Osage | 2025 State IA (Osage): 16.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.2 steals, 1.1 blocks, 37.4 3P%
West Fork’s backcourt may be fantastic, but Osage’s isn’t too far behind them, led by Uhlenhopp and Quinn Street Quinn Street 5'11" | PG Osage | 2026 State IA . Uhlenhopp, a 6-1 guard who can play with or without the ball, is a good shooter off the catch and a reliable playmaker.
2026 Quinn Street Quinn Street 5'11" | PG Osage | 2026 State IA (Osage): 14.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.7 steals
Street is a 5-11 guard who, like Uhlenhopp, can play on or off the ball. He’s a reliable shooting threat and is a really good passer who does a good job protecting the ball and getting his teammates involved. He puts constant pressure on opposing teams on both ends of the floor with his quickness.
