This team had a nice mix of North Dakota and South Dakota players. We have comments, notes, impressions, and observations listed below.
Team 8 Players Notes
-Looked fantastic in transition, filled the lanes and scored many buckets going fast
-He was rewarded for his effort in transtion
-Has a quick trigger from deep
-Hustled for offensive rebounds
-Has advanced ball skills
-Had a timely blocked shot when recovering on defense
-Stole the ball with his quick hands
-Picked off passes like a DB
-Slashed to create, drew help, kicked to Ethan Pisle Ethan Pisle 6’3″ | SG Stevens | 2024 SD for a triple
-Looked for Bruce to be a contributor for the talented Knights
-He has a ton of potential and skill to be a dude in the near future
Highlights
-A versatile player with sharp skills, can do work in & out
-Aesthetically pleasing jump shot
-It looks like he is shooting out of a phone booth
-Killed it in the catch-n-shoot-game from 3-point land
-Beautiful shot but also has a nice crossover move
-Scored plenty of points in transition
-Moved the ball, has good eyes
-Impressed with his lefty inside-out dribble move
-His long arms helped him secure many offensive rebounds
-Held box-outs against a an opposing beast
-Moved well w/o the ball, sets his feet quickly when getting ready for a shot
-Expecting Pisle to be an impact player this winter
-The more I watched, the more I liked!
-Firs time seeing him live and it went well!
-A quicker jumper and an agile player
-Impressive athleticism, bouncy, good hang time
-Finishes through contact
-Active on the glass, especially offensive end
-Effective off the ball as a cutter
-Scored in transition, has the speed to out-run the opposition
-Has a soft finishing touch and a quality runner/floater
-Opened my eyes with an athletic tip-in
-Had multiple AND1 scores
-Persistent on the glass, multiple O-boards
-Impressed me with a catch on the wing, rip, excellent first step to beat the D
-Long, low, and quick 1st step
-PHD is predicting Fedje is an All-Region player this season
-Polished skills, he can do it all
-A playmaker in transition
-Excels at deep penetration and at setting up others
-Versatile finisher
-Good vision, creates & smart
-Always impressed with his smooth finger-roll finishes
-Showed a sneaky & smart backdoor cut for a score
-Pull-up J looks good, as always
-Hustled for O-boards
-Slashed baseline, completed a crisp cross-court dime to Pisle for a triple
-Set up teammates for many, many, many excellent looks
-Hurt his ankle in the last game and had to sit out for part of it
-Has the talent and skill to be one of the best guards in AA
-Honorable Mention All-Expo
-An energetic sparkplug
-Quick as a cat
-Tough on-ball defender
-Has a dirty spin-move that left the D dazed & confused
-Delivered a beautiful touch pass when leading a teammate in transition
-Extremely fast & quick up the court
-Stealthy hands for steals & TO’s
-Got hot from three and hit more than I could count
-Knockdown in the space-n-shoot game
-Held his own against one of the top guards at the event
-Looked great with an unselfish dime to a cutting teammate
-Great vision to see cutters and make timely passes
-Set up teammate for easy looks in transition, can make all the passes
-He has the talent to be a breakout player in AA this season
-2nd Team All-Expo
-Long and athletic SG/Wing
-He really got up an put down an impressive dunk
-I did not know that Max could sky like that
-Hit triples from long range, saw a few from NBA depth
-Impressed when slashing, spun away from D & scored with a lefty kiss off the glass
–Hayden Goff found him for many great looks
-Love his pull-up jumper
-Showed his craftiness with a blow-by drive and a baseline inside-hand finish
-Deadly in transition, he always made the correct read/decision
-Showed hustle by diving on the floor for loose balls
-Has impressive combo and counter moves to beat the D off the bounce
-Delivered a half-court dime to a sprinting Everett Fedje
-I will not be surprised if Max is All-State this year
