Here were some of the standout 2024-25 PG’s:
Gerron Jr Graham Gerron Jr Graham 6'2" | PG Premier Prep Tucson Academy | 2025 State AZ Premier Prep Tucson
A scoring point guard is a good passer and floor general. He hits the three and makes passes with either hand in stride with up the court passes, drive and kicks and he will slither it into the post.
John Meza John Meza 6'0" | PG Premier Prep Tucson | 2025 State AZ Premier Prep Tucson (Pictured)
A defensive point guard who is tough. He is quick with good lateral quickness with a stronger upper body. He has a tighter handle in close spaces to get by his defenders with advanced body control in the air. He has a nice euro step game and takes contact well. He moves the ball on offense and has some pace to his game. He is a capable three point shooter when left open.
Carlos Coronado Jr Carlos Coronado Jr 6'3" | PG Supreme Academy | 2025 State AZ PHH Prep National
An athletic point guard can drive and kick with his left or right hand or can slip it in. He makes threes off the catch and shoot or a crossover into a pull-up. He is one of the better lob throwers in the class and threads the needle with pinpoint passes. He is a very good on-ball defender and his stock is climbing.
Steven Tippit Steven Tippit 5'9" | PG Phhoenix Prep | 2024 State AZ Phhoenix Prep
An undersized point guard will drive and kick it to a open shooter. His mindset is way more polished as a facilitator and is making the correct decisions. He has the floater game and he has a deep pull-up from beyond the line with a quick release. His best move is he stops on a dime and rises up from mid-range. He takes charges and is quick on the ball defensively using his long arms and quickness. Stock up!
Jeremiah Johnson Jeremiah Johnson 6'4" | PG Phhoenix Prep | 2024 State AZ PHH Prep OTE
The Oklahoma State commit has an elite burst to get downhill. He throws it down or scores thru contact consistently. He leaps up so quickly to rebound and is a fierce on-ball defender. He is a high level scorer but his passing separates him from most. He whips it down the court to facilitate and will drive and kick or dime a teammate. He hits catch threes and he controls the OverTime Elite team.
Jalen Lyn Jalen Lyn 6'3" | PG Hillcrest Prep | 2024 State AZ Hillcrest Prep
A bigger sized pure point guard can catch and shoot from the three and spray the ball around like a pure facilitator. He has quick hands on defense and bothers his opponents. He is very athletic to throw it down above the rim on the break with either hand and his pace is next level.
KJ Morrast KJ Morrast 6'1" | PG Hillcrest Prep | 2024 State AZ Hillcrest Prep
A scoring lead guard will rattle in triples off the catch. He can rebound and throw passes up the court to teammates on a rope. He has quick hands on defense to rip some pockets and he will be critical to the Bruins success.
Isaiah Bronson Isaiah Bronson 6'2" | PG Phhoenix Prep | 2024 State AZ PHH EIBC
The lefty point guard is a natural scorer. He has a tighter handle and will dart in the lane with euro steps and quick bursts. Once he is rolling from deep beyond the three point line, he can then shot fake and get to the paint and make a play or score. His hesitation dribble often freezes the defenders to go by.
