While I was watching the athletes compete out there in each contest and later on in the film I watched, I took small “live” notes, explaining somethings about the player and their performance in that moment. Below I will be highlighting players that stood out to me from afar, while stating what their “live notes” were during their games.
*Players listed as: (Jersey #, Name, Class, Size, College Position, Current High School) – For rewatching purposes on BallerTV.
Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
#637 – Lenox Hayes – 2026 – 6’2 – PG – Omaha Central High School
“A 6’2 – PG who has feel for the game & what is needed in specific moments. Someone who is always looking ahead for a quick outlet pass for an easy bucket to a teammate but can pull it out and run the offense just as well. Has undeniable skill on the offensive side of the ball at all times. A player that you need to locate at all times or else it might not end well for you. “
#655 – Brenden Reeves Brenden Reeves 6'4" | SG Gretna East | 2025 State NE – 2025 – 6’4 – CG – Gretna East High School
“ Brenden Reeves Brenden Reeves 6'4" | SG Gretna East | 2025 State NE is listed at 6’4 but he seems an inch or two taller, giving him size on most opponents. An off-guard that has athleticism, length, and patience in all situations. Has one of the highest ceilings I’ve seen here today so far. The possibilities of what he could bring to the floor on any given night are eye-opening from just a small sample size.”
#680 – Owen Anderson Owen Anderson 6'4" Millard North | 2026 NE – 2026 – 6’4 – SF/PF – Millard North High School
“Anderson has a great feel for the basketball and his own individual game. He stands at 6’4 but plays bigger. He eats up space in the lane & can get multiple rebounds on one possession if need be. He doesn’t give up on possessions and does a good job of using his physicality down low. His body control when going up for a rebound or outback is impressive to say the least.”
#614 – Ty Heilig Ty Heilig 5'10" | PG Gross Catholic | 2026 NE – 2026 – 5’10 – PG – Gross Catholic High School
“ Ty Heilig Ty Heilig 5'10" | PG Gross Catholic | 2026 NE is a PG that I really enjoy watching. He has intent with every movement he makes, displays good shot form from all three levels, and his decision making is usually spot on. Been one of the more consistent guards in my opinion today. If he can limit turnovers during the high school season, he should see the floor a good amount looking forward.”
#621 – Cooper Warford Cooper Warford 5'11" | PG Southern | 2025 State NE – 2025 – 5’11 – PG/SG – Southern High School
“ Cooper Warford Cooper Warford 5'11" | PG Southern | 2025 State NE is a stringy & strong athlete. He holds his ground very well on the defensive side of things, while being crafty at the PG spot. He does a great job of getting his body into his dribble movement before it happens, mixing up his defender a majority of the time. Once he gets to the middle he is a facilitator, almost to a fault. You could also move him to the SG position as he is very hard to stay in front of. His production at both positions is consistent.”
#635 – Kayne VanDis – 2026 – 6’1 – SG – Waukee High School (IA)
“Vandis displayed great shot form on a number of occasions today. It’s steady, balanced, & always looks the same at its high point. He isn’t afraid to let it go and today he made the most of his opportunities.”
#864 – Levi Ekue Levi Ekue 6'6" Platteview | 2026 NE – 2026 – 6’6 – SF/PF/C – Platteview High School
“ Levi Ekue Levi Ekue 6'6" Platteview | 2026 NE stands at 6’6 and plays his height. He has a long reach with agile movement coming down the floor. Today he displayed the ability to screen at the perimeter and roll or he can just dominate with his size matchup in the post. Being only a sophomore & seeing his skill-set already, there is something promising here. He has an above average feel for the game and touch on the ball, if he can build on that moving forward, he will be a force on the high school floor this winter.”
#668 – Justin Anderson Justin Anderson 6'1" | PG Lincoln Northstar | 2025 NE – 2025 – 6’1 – PG/SG – Lincoln Northstar High School
“ Justin Anderson Justin Anderson 6'1" | PG Lincoln Northstar | 2025 NE has an old school game. If you are guarding him, you know what move is coming and he will still kill you with it. His understanding of spacing, where his defender is, & what spaces will open up is next level. He also showed a good demeanor throughout the entire evening.”
#662 – Jordan Anderson Jordan Anderson 6'0" | SG Lincoln Northstar | 2025 NE – 2025 – 6’0 – PG/SG – Lincoln Northstar High School
“ Jordan Anderson Jordan Anderson 6'0" | SG Lincoln Northstar | 2025 NE is much like his brother in play style. Scrappy, has a “different” type of game on offense but boy does it produce. Another player that has a great demeanor with the others around him at all times. Never rattled or shaken, already just seems locked in.”
