Let’s take one final look at five more of these prospects and what they bring to the table.
James Bryant
James Bryant
Bryant, the Canterbury Transfer, joins a talented Lehigh roster looking to make some noise this upcoming season. The G/F fits nicely into this fast, athletic lineup, giving them another scoring option and adding to their size. He is a tough, athletic kid who can put the ball on the floor and has strong post presence on both ends of the court. He has the ability to score, but look for him to really stand out on the boards and defensive side of the ball. Bryant’s tough, gritty play is a perfect match for this Lehigh squad in 2023-24.
Noah comes back to Gateway Charter after 2 seasons in Charlotte. Your prototypical PG, Cutler is a true facilitator of the game. His speed, ball-handling, and basketball IQ are exceptional and make him a very difficult matchup. He’s not afraid to take it to the hole, where he can get by his defender and put the ball in the hoop, or step-back and knock down the jumper with confidence. Where he is really dangerous is in his ability find the open man, whether it be on a drive and dish, a lob, or kicking it out to an open teammate, Cutler has tremendous court vision. You can tell he just loves the game and has fun each time he steps on the court, look for Cutler to be a key piece for the Griffins this season.
Highlights
Nick Degnan
Nick Degnan
Degnan, joins Barron Collier after transferring in from Tennessee. The strong bodied guard has the ability to get to the hoop, but also has a very smooth jumper. He has a solid mid-range game and can knock down the 3-ball consistently, making him a true 3-level scorer. This hard-nosed guard isn’t just an offensive threat, his strength allows him to guard multiple positions and also be factor on the glass. Degnan should fit right in with his new squad and be a major contributor for the Cougars this year.
Allan Rivera
Allan Rivera
This 2027 prospect looks to step right in a be the primary ball-handler for this revamped Canterbury squad. Rivera, plays the game with intensity and emotion, and leaves it all on floor each time he steps on the court. He has great knowledge of the game and gets it done on both sides of the ball. He’s a quick, pesky defender who will look to force the turnover and get out and run. On offense he has great handles and looks to drive and create but also has a solid mid-range game to compliment it. Being only a freshman, look for Rivera to have a major role and help lead the Cougars in 2023-24.
JJ Livingston
JJ Livingston
Livingston joins a deep CSN squad for this upcoming season. The Seahawks are known to produce effective shooters and JJ fits the bill. The lefty marksman has a very solid mid-range game but what makes him special is his ability to knock down the 3-ball at a high rate from any spot. Livingston is a strong guard who can help get the ball up the court and is an above-average defender. He’s tough and willing to do all the small things and is just a great team player. CSN and Livingston seem to be a great fit for one another, let’s see what this 2023-24 season has in store for both of them.
