The event featured high level competition and great games, as well as prospects for colleges of all levels moving forward.
Here’s a look at part four of some of the top 2025 performers from VA teams at the event.
Tyrece Williams Tyrece Williams 6'2" | SG LC Bird | 2025 State VA | 6’2” CG | LC Bird
Williams is part of a new look Bird team that we’re watching figure it out this fall, and their junior class looks like they’ll be something to reckon with this year. Williams got after it all weekend showing his ability to guard both on and off the basketball, and he picked his spots and scored it efficiently in different ways. He can play on or off the ball and can make shots from multiple levels, he creates space in the midrange and can get downhill where he’s a good finisher in traffic and he’s willing to do the dirty work to help his team win too.
Ryan Crotty Ryan Crotty 6'6" | SG Miller School | 2025 State VA | 6’5” WG | Miller School
Crotty is part of a new trio that joins a Miller team that went to the state championship game last season, and he’s already making big noise in the fall as one of the top shooters in the state. The 6’5” wing is a dead eye shooter from deep with effortless range and a quick release, and he’s also very good attacking closeouts and relocating using pump fakes to get into the pull-up or get to the rim. He really impressed with his competitiveness as he brought it defensively and was a very good rebounder for his position as well.
Elijah Kelly Elijah Kelly 6'5" | SF Miller School | 2025 State #235 Nation VA | 6’8” WF | Miller School
Kelly is another new addition at Miller who comes from Radford where he helped lead them to an appearance in the state championship game, and he has perhaps the highest upside of anyone on this already talented group. The 6’8” wing showed his athleticism with some impressive finishes above the rim, as well as his versatility at his size with his ability to handle it and make plays for others. He will likely have to play and guard the 5 as their biggest player, but Miller’s 5 out system fits him perfectly as he’ll still be able to showcase his perimeter skillset that will make college coaches very intrigued by his long term potential.
Alex Pisis | 6’5” WF | CBG Select
Pisis is a new addition to a Catholic team that is already chock full of talent, and the French native had a good showing in his VA debut playing with CBG Select helping lead his team to a 2-0 record in the event. The 6’5” wing has a lot of good qualities including a strong frame, the ability to knock down shots from deep and a great feel and understanding of the game on both ends of the floor. He played composed basketball and made great decisions with the ball in his hands while also moving well off the ball to get open and make shots consistently.
Jalen Deloatch Jalen Deloatch 6'4" | PG James River | 2025 State VA | 6’1” PG | CBG Elite
Deloatch is my pick for breakout junior in the Richmond area this year, as he is poised to have a big season at James River and will likely score a lot of points for a Rapids team that could surprise a lot of people this year. He’s a very strong guard that is surprisingly shifty and has the ability to get downhill where he’s a good finisher through traffic, and he has the ability to get hot and fill it up in bunches in different ways. He scored the ball from all three levels while also making good decisions with the ball in his hands and making plays on the defensive end too.
