Continue ReadingBrady Titus was a star point guard in Michigan’s class of 2022. He dominated grassroots circuits and events while starring with UTS Elite and permanently left his mark on high school basketball in the state of Michigan. Titus led his Tri-Unity Christian team to the 2022 state championship. He’s now entering his second year at Indiana Tech. We recently caught up with Titus and discussed his college basketball team, his game and some of his thoughts on playing at the next level.
If you’re a high school prospect, I highly advise you to read this carefully. Titus is a great resource as to the mental framework needed to be successful in high school and at the next level.
Name: Brady Titus
High School: Tri-Unity Christian
College: Indiana Tech
Graduation Year: 2026
What are your hopes and expectations for your team?
Titus: “I’d say for my team this year we have a new group and one of our big expectations is to stay together as a team through no matter what comes our way. remaining solid. and confident and trusting one another to go out there and compete every night.”
What are your hopes and expectations for you personally?
Titus: “I’d say for me personally, I just wanna go out there and perform every night and make sure that I do what I’m capable of. Personally, I just wanna go out there and keep a positive mindset throughout the whole season.”
What part of the college game was the toughest adjustment?
Titus: I’d say the biggest part of college for me to adjust to is the details along with the pace of play. It’s not every time they come down the core and just blow by everyone or make an easy, move it to the rim anymore. The college level, it takes a lot of patience, details, and a lot of movement with or without the ball.”
Who’s a player on your college team that you really like playing with?
Titus: “My guy Steve Helm!! Love being in the court with him. He always brings out the best not only in the team but myself too. Pushing me to get better everyday to get after it in practice. The discipline and the “want” to be better we share together is a great thing.”
What has been the best part of being able to play at the next level?
Titus: “I’d say the best part is being able to really determine your “want” for the game. Playing at the next level really pushes your mental state as far as wanting to put in the extra time, put in the extra work, and the effort to want to be better not only for yourself before your team and the teams desired goals. Another thing, especially something that I’ve taken to heart over the past summer leading into this season, is having that mamba mentality of building that love for repetition.”
