Here are 9 sleepers from the sophomore class to look out for:
Kaleo Mills Kaleo Mills 6'5" | SF Paradise Honors | 2026 State AZ Paradise Honors
The wing forward has grown a couple inches and keeps improving his game. With his improved size he can get into the lane and score over taller players and shoot it from mid to the three.
Grady Crandall Grady Crandall 6'2" | CG Highland | 2026 State AZ Highland
One of the strongest pound for pound in the class regardless of position. He can play nearly four positions and is very comfortable making plays for his teammates. He likes getting into the paint and making a play or scoring thru contact and can hit the catch three.
Sebastian Hatsakorzian Sebastian Hatsakorzian 6'3" | SF St. Mary's | 2026 State AZ St. Mary’s
A versatile wing forward who plays like a point forward. He can defend guards and then get in the paint and defend power forwards with his strength. He can shoot the three, get into the lane to score and throw a nice pass.
Cisco Llamas Cisco Llamas 5'7" | PG Sahuaro | 2026 State AZ Sahuaro
An undersized scoring lead guard can make plays and score. He has volleyball line range and a quick trigger to go along with his huge confidence and swag. He can thread the needle and find a cutter.
Marcus Murray Marcus Murray 5'10" | PG Sunrise Mountain | 2026 State AZ Sunrise Mountain
A strong bodied pure point guard has taken the reins of the offense. He is tough and smart and makes the proper reads to assist his teammates. He can shoot perimeter jumpers but is best currently attacking the basket with his speed, tight handles and quickness. He is quick on the ball defensively.
Colby Jessup Colby Jessup 6'2" | PG Valley Christian | 2026 State AZ Valley Christian
A combo guard who recently grew two inches. He is already in the 3A state contending rotation off the bench and will make a big leap next year in production. Look for him to come off the bench and shoot the three with range with his quick trigger and make plays as well.
Dylan Coday Dylan Coday 6'5" | PF Millennium | 2026 State AZ Millennium
A cerebral and skilled power forward. He is a little undersized but can score close to the basket and shoot it from elbow and in. He has good footwork and rebounds well in his area. He can play fast or in the half court set.
Johnny Rios III Johnny Rios III 5'8" | PG Centennial | 2026 State AZ Centennial
The true leader of the Coyotes in Johnny. They gave him the ball freshman year and he brings toughness, a tight yo-yo handle and a big IQ. He can score from deep plus use the floater or pull-up. He is a nuisance on the ball defensively with his quick feet.
Kamari Stanbury Kamari Stanbury 5'9" | PG Gilbert Christian | 2026 State AZ Gilbert Christian (Pictured)
Another sophomore pure point guard is already in the lead role for his varsity team. He plays extremely fast and makes a decision on the fly as well as you can with a good pace. He is quick on quick with the ball and can score inside or shoot it from the perimeter. His speed with the ball is always on display.
