Attleson was really impressive at our Top 250 Expo in September, showing the ability to really shoot it, especially off the catch. He has good size at 6-5/6-6 and a high, quick release. He has a pure stroke with picturesque form and he moves really well without the ball in his hands. He’s a solid team defender who rotates well and can protect the rim, and he rebounds well on both ends of the floor. A lot of minutes opened up at Waukee after a number of graduations, and Attleson appears to be ready to step into some of those vacated minutes as a two-way contributor.
(103) Anthony Gorman | SF | Pleasant Valley
A lengthy wing who can create off the dribble, Gorman is able to cover a lot of ground on both ends of the floor with his long strides. He’s a good defender who gets up into passing lanes, rotates well, and contests shots on the perimeter, and he moves his feet well when he’s defending on the ball.
(117) August Anderson August Anderson 6'4" | PF Indianola | 2025 State IA | PF | Indianola
Anderson is kind of like a Swiss Army knife with his ability to do a little bit of everything. He can score against smaller players on the block, or step out and either stretch the floor or take bigger defenders off the dribble. He rebounds well on both ends of the floor and is a good enough ball-handler to lead the break after pulling down a defensive rebound.
(140) Devin O’Brien Devin O’Brien 6'5" | SF Lisbon | 2025 State IA | SF | Lisbon
O’Brien is a really good shooter with a quick release off the catch and plenty of range. He has his feet squared and he’s ready to fire when he gets it, and he has good size on the wing at 6-5/6-6. With his high release, he can get his shot off pretty much whenever he wants to, and with his ability to stretch the floor as well as contest shots, he’ll be an impact player for the Lions as a junior.
(142) Barek Schoenauer Barek Schoenauer 6'8" | C Dowling Catholic | 2025 State IA | C | Dowling Catholic
Schoenauer is an interesting young big man with a skill set that is intriguing. He has big, soft hands and is solid on the glass, but it’s his court vision that stands out the most. He sees the floor really well and is a good passer who does a good job recognizing the double team coming early and finding open shooters on the wing. He has confidence in his jumper out to the arc. He’s a bit limited athletically at this point, but with his size and court vision, he’s an interesting player to monitor.
(162) Tyeece Collins Tyeece Collins 6'1" | SF Des Moines Roosevelt | 2025 State IA | SF | Roosevelt
Collins is a quality ball-handler and good athlete who can play downhill and get to the rim. He uses his length and athleticism to defend multiple positions and compete on the glass on both ends of the floor.
(165) Payton Policky Payton Policky 6'3" | SF ACGC | 2025 State IA | SF | ACGC
Policky is a really good shooter, especially off the catch, who moves well without the ball in his hands. He has the ability to get scorching hot and burn teams in a hurry from deep. The form on his jumper may not be what is taught, but he makes it work for him and the results speak for themselves when you watch him play. He was another standout at the Top 250 Expo because of his ability to shoot the rock.
(180) Sir Harris Sir Harris 6'2" | SF Hempstead | 2025 State IA | SF | Hempstead
A strong wing who can bully his way to the rim for finishes or shoot it from deep at a high clip, Harris has the ability to score from all three levels at a fairly efficient clip. He has a chance to make a major impact for a Mustangs team that will need some scoring punch this winter.
