Players from all over Oregon and out of state were in attendance and we had the opportunity to take in much of the 5-on-5 action, including some of the games being played on the floor in the Cone Fieldhouse. Here’s a quick look at some more of the in-state players that were there.
Merrick Benesch Merrick Benesch 6'1" | CG Astoria | 2024 State OR (2024 Astoria) – Solid body, was able to spot up and hit some catch-and-shoot jumpers. Has good form on his shot and range past the college three-point line.
Peyton Bruner Peyton Bruner 6'3" | PG Grants Pass | 2025 State OR (2024 Grants Pass) – Strong lead guard with good size. Was active in getting into the lane and finishing over and through defenders. Physical defender who mixed it up.
Elijah Camp Elijah Camp 5'8" | PG Newberg | 2024 State OR (2024 Newberg) – Small at 5-foot-7 but jitterbug quick guard. Really looked to create and shook defenders with a crafty dribble. Has good looking shooting stroke and capably hit open threes.
Kaeden Garcia Kaeden Garcia 5'9" | PG Willamette | 2026 State OR (2026 Willamette) – Often times physically the smallest guy on the court but carried himself with confidence. Didn’t get a ton of opportunities, but took good care of the basketball, knocked down some open threes, and made some nice passes to teammates cutting to the hoop for baskets.
Hudson Guthrie Hudson Guthrie 6'4" | SF Sunset | 2025 State OR (2025 Sunset) – Versatile scorer with size on the wing. Spotted up for a number of jumpers but also was able to get some buckets around the hoop. Used his length well to rebound and defend.
Justin Han Justin Han 6'1" | SG Valley Catholic | 2025 State OR (2025 Valley Catholic) – Hit open threes but was also effective finishing with both hands at the hoop in transition. Did a great job with his on-the-ball defense, helping limit driving lanes of his assignment.
Leo Marshall Leo Marshall 6'0" | SG Parkrose | 2024 State OR (2024 Parkrose) – Reputation is as a shooter and shot it well from what we saw. Moves well with out the basketball to get into the right position for opportunities.
Tyson Martinez Tyson Martinez 6'0" | CG Crook County | 2024 State OR (2024 Crook County) – Used his burly frame to create space on the perimeter for shots. Really showed a smooth stroke from deep and was able to catch and shoot and hit on the move. Wasn’t afraid to get physical on the boards on or the defensive end.
