John Renken John Renken 6'5" Lafayette | 2024 MO (Lafayette): A 6’5″ 2024 forward who was a very potent offensive player from 15 feet on in. He operates from the high post with his turn and face game. He puts the ball on the floor well and can go in either direction to get a bucket. He can score with either hand with equal effectiveness. His spin move in the lane is excellent and he can also raise up and hit the pull up jumper. He is also very active on the boards and he got his share of putbacks on the offensive end.
Kobe Jones Kobe Jones 5'11" | PG University City | 2024 State MO (University City): A 5’11” 2024 point guard who was one of the best at creating his own shot off the dribble at the camp. He is an excellent isolation player who can blow by a defender on a downhill drive or can drop him off with a hesi dribble and quick burst to the basket. He backs defenders up which sets them up for his pull up jumper from the mid-range. He also had a number of penetration and kick outs to open shooters.
Justin Hayes Justin Hayes 6'5" | SF Holt | 2024 State MO (Holt): A 6’5″ 2024 wing who had a versatile skill set on the perimeter. He moved at a smooth pace and was never in a hurry to get to his spots on the floor. He did have a quick first step to beat defenders on a baseline drive to the basket. He gets good elevation on his pull up jumper from the mid range. He can also go inside and shoot the turnaround over a smaller defender. He was also a very unselfish passer who looked for the open teammate.
Jase Foster (Nixa): A 5’9″ guard from the SWMO area who has some sound fundamentals. He could push the pace in the open court and he had some impressive penetration and drop-offs in the lane, which led to layups for teammates. He was also dialing it up from 3-point range. He was constantly hustling and always around the ball. He did a good job of moving his feet on the defensive end.
Brady Thompson Brady Thompson 6'4" | C Kingston | 2026 State MO (Kingston): A 6’4″ 2026 forward who did most of his work in the lane on offense. He is a strong youngster who used his body to power his way into the lane. He didn’t mind seeking contact when he drove into the lane. He also had good footwork and can add a little finesse with a nice touch around the basket. He could also drive it from the perimeter.
Ryder Rowden Ryder Rowden 6'0" | PG Springfield Catholic | 2026 MO (Springfield Catholic): A 5’11” 2026 guard who handles the ball well and can also pass it with either hand. What I liked about him was that the ball kept moving and it did not stick in his hands. He can also shoot it from distance with a quick release. He did his work before getting the ball as he moved well and was shot ready when he made the catch.
Connor Lampkin (Pacific): A 6’0″ 2025 guard who was an impressive 3-point shooter off the catch. He hit a trio of 3-pointers in the first game that I watched him. He also had a few nice moves off the dribble, which included a spin dribble that led to a short jumper for a bucket. He also had a nice coast to coast dash for another bucket. He also had some good rotations on defense which led to a steal or a deflection.
Joshua Grimes (St. Mary’s): A 6’0″ 2027 guard who displayed some impressive slashing ability to the basket. He had a good cross-over move and he can change directions while on the move to keep defenders off balance. He had some impressive finishes in the lane while operating in heavy traffic. He also had an effective mid-range jumper on the pull up. He’s a young player, but he played with a lot of confidence.
Donovan Parris Donovan Parris 6'1" | CG Rock Bridge | 2026 MO (Rock Bridge): A 6’1″ 2026 guard from Mid Missouri who was hitting the open 3-pointer off the catch. He made his own opportunities by moving without the ball and finding open spots. If he wasn’t getting a layup off of a good off-ball cut, he could sneak into the lane for an offensive rebound and putback.
Marvin Neals (St Mary’s): A 5’0″ 2026 point guard who has impressive speed and quickness. He displayed good on-ball defensive pressure as he was able to harass opposing ball handlers the full court on a number of occasions. He displayed good court vision with some nifty passes and he also could hit the 3-pointer off the dribble.
