I watched every team play once and this is how they performed when they were on the main court. We start breaking down the All-EXPO teams one by one.
Here is the 8th Team breakdown:
Hayes Kinney Hayes Kinney 5'10" | PG Canyon View | 2026 State AZ Canyon View
A point guard who recently transferred to Canyon View. He is a good on-ball defender who knows to play. He is a good passer who can thread it in and moves the ball like you should. He will make extra passes and hit the open three. Defensively he can rebound and occasionally block shots.
Zachary Jiggens Zachary Jiggens 5'11" | PG ALA-Ironwood | 2026 State AZ EVAC
A true point guard with an old school game. He has a high feel for the game and is always looking to facilitate. He can shoot it from the three with deep range and plays the game from the neck up.
Caleb Loomis Caleb Loomis 5'10" | SG Mica Mountain | 2026 State AZ Mica Mountain
A scoring guard who is a sharp shooter. He can rattle in triples with a quick trigger. He gets squared quickly and will let it fly.
Sean McCarthy Sean McCarthy 6'3" | SF Canyon Del Oro | 2026 State AZ CDO
A wing forward who is another sniper. He will compete inside with his decent size and he can shoot. The lefty can hit the catch three with confidence and runs the floor for layups.
David Onuh David Onuh 6'2" | SF Liberty | 2026 State AZ Liberty
A tough sophomore wing forward who has grown an inch or two. He likes getting downhill with his stronger frame and long strides. He can shoot it from the three off the catch and he will rebound in his area.
Carson Pavey Carson Pavey 6'2" | SG Sandra Day O'Connor | 2025 State AZ Sandra Day O’Connor
Another newcomer for me is the second brother of the Pavey boys. Like his brother he is a shooter. He can hit the three off the catch with range and finds open spots in the defense as he smartly moves without the ball. He will move the ball and plays the right way.
Johnny Rios III Johnny Rios III 5'8" | PG Centennial | 2026 State AZ Centennial
An undersized pure point guard is the engine for the Coyotes. The ball is on a string for him and he is always looking up to set up his teammates with next level court vision. He can get into the paint with his handle and burst and use the floater game. He can hit perimeter jumpers as well.
Brock Steele Brock Steele 6'1" | SF Seton Catholic | 2026 State AZ Seton Catholic (Pictured)
A physical wing forward is a tough competitor. He loves getting downhill into the paint and doesn’t mind the contact. He will hustle for rebounds and will often grab the 50/50 ball with a plus motor.
