Head Coach: Matthew Colin, 19th Season (16th at Wellington)
Class: 7A
2022-2023 Record: 20-6
Key Returners: Elyjah Freeman 6-6 SF (2024). During the AAU season, Freeman played a ton of roles whether it was the combo guard position or being in the post. Freeman scores on all three levels at a high rate and is super athletic when it comes to controlling the glass on both ends of the floor. Freeman has gained college interest from Cal State Fullerton, Chattanooga, Georgia Southern, Oral Roberts and several others.
Key Returners: Reginald “Reggie” Reinhardt 6-1 CG (2024). The 6-1 combo guard is quick and shifty when he has the basketball in his hands, displaying a great IQ and his pure passing skills have continued to improve. Reinhardt is at his absolute best when he attacks the basket and finishes at the front of the rim. On the defensive end, Reinhardt shows great activity as he is very active in the passing lanes. Reinhardt currently holds an offer from D2 Barry University.
Sleeper Prospect: Dakota Izard 6-3 SG (2025). Izard is a perennial perimeter shooting threat who can also use his athleticism to finish at the front of the rim. He is an exceptional rebounder for his size who will battle on the glass against bigger prospects and is quick to get the ball in transition. Izard is receiving interest from Palm Beach Atlantic and numerous D2 schools.
Sleeper Prospect: Toney Collins 6-3 SG (2024). Collins brings a lot of physicality and toughness on both ends of the floor where he can be seen guarding on the interior as well as the perimeter. On the offensive end, he has a smooth mid-range shot and can get to the front of the rim with an explosive first step. He uses his strength and athleticism to get to the rim where he draws a lot of contact. Intrigued to see where Collins senior season leads to him as far as recruitment process.
Jeremy Tovar
Jeremy Tovar
Sleeper Prospect: Jeremy Tovar 6-1 SG (2025). Tovar brings a lot of energy to the table and is high balanced scorer who can impact the game in a variety of ways. He also adds his strong finish ability around the rim where he is unafraid to get to the foul line. Tovar can also handle the point guard duties while his natural position inquires him to play off the ball.
