Here are the top-10 PG’s in the 2024 class: (An incredible group of PG’s.)
Jeremiah Johnson Jeremiah Johnson 6'4" | PG Phhoenix Prep | 2024 State AZ Phhoenix Prep
An explosive scoring lead guard makes the game look easy. He has great size, elite bounce for position and can make players around him better or score. He can shoot it with range then get a step with his incredible burst and dunk on someone or take the bump and score thru contact with his strong upper body.
Del Jones Del Jones 6'2" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2024 CA-S AZ Compass Prep
A scoring lead guard can fill it up from all three levels. He loves to attack the basket with his speed, shift and tight handle. He puts a lot of pressure on the defense and rises high on his jumpers with good elevation. He can also spray the ball around to make plays.
Styles Phipps Styles Phipps 6'1" | PG St Mary's | 2024 State #182 Nation AZ St. Mary’s
One of the top guards in all of the AIA. He can beat you with his handle and passing abilities but also scores it effortlessly. He uses his stronger upper body to get into the paint and bounce off of defenders. He has a mean pull-up from mid and will hit the three.
Marcus Wilson Marcus Wilson 6'1" | PG Bella Vista Prep | 2024 State AZ Bella Vista Prep
A smooth guard is athletic and is an easy scorer from all levels. His deep three point range separates him from many and quick step gets him into the paint. He can flush it down on the break and make smart reads off of the pick and roll game.
Jalen Lyn Jalen Lyn 6'3" | PG Hillcrest Prep | 2024 State AZ Hillcrest Prep
A pure point guard with great size and frame. He has that rare next level court vision. He was the assist leader in the Grind Session with Tennessee Prep and turned many heads. The NYC bred guard will lead the way for the local Bruins plus score it with pull-ups and perimeter jumpers.
Gabe Pickens Gabe Pickens 6'0" | PG Dream City Christian | 2024 State AZ Dream City Christian
Another top facilitator who plays in the Grind Session. He came off the bench last year and immediately changes the pace to their team. He is a true table setter and if he gets the opportunity to start, he can be one of the leaders in assists. He is also very powerful to get downhill and is a pit bull on-ball defender.
Dilen Miller Dilen Miller 6'3" | PG Inspire Prep National | 2024 State #229 Nation AZ AZ Compass Prep Black
A thicker framed scoring lead guard has recently verbally committed to Georgia State. He has elite range on his shooting from well past the three point line and the ball gets out of his hands quickly to set up his teammates. He uses his sturdy frame to defend on the ball.
KJ Morrast KJ Morrast 6'1" | PG Hillcrest Prep | 2024 State AZ Hillcrest Prep
Lyn’s backup is no slouch. He will play a lot of minutes and has a stronger build and frame. He can score it from the perimeter with deep range and a quick trigger and sees the court well.
Tommy Randolph Tommy Randolph 6'2" | PG Pinnacle | 2024 State AZ Pinnacle
One of the most athletic lead guards in the AIA from the senior class. He flies on the break with incredible speed and is way above the rim. His strong frame allows him to absorb the contact when he gets downhill and is very tough on the ball using his athletic gifts and size.
Isaiah Hill Isaiah Hill 5'11" | PG Premier Prep Tucson | 2024 State AZ Pueblo (Pictured)
The quintessential pure point guard is one of the more entertaining players to watch in Tucson. He sees the game differently than most. He threads the needle at any time off a live dribble about as well as you can. The lefty can also score it from the perimeter and has a quick first step to get into the teeth of the defense.
