Continue ReadingGabe Bolden Gabe Bolden 6’2″ | CG North Cobb Christian | 2024 State GA helped himself tremendously on Saturday with a dominant all-around performance. If there was an MVP award for the camp, Bolden would certainly be in contention. He was scoring in bunches all afternoon and we’re finally getting to see that offensive aggression that will allow Bolden to dictate a game. He hit a countless number of threes while taking smart shots and shooting a high percentage from behind the line. D2s and D3s throughout the south would be wise to invest in Bolden’s services for the next four years.
Cassius Watkins Cassius Watkins 6’0″ | PG Maynard Jackson | 2024 State GA looked strong on Saturday and while he should be a no-brainer for a lot of the D2s and NAIAs in attendance, his performance at SEBA likely solidified that notion. Watkins is always aggressive getting to the hole and it was his use of body positioning that impressed me on Saturday, wisely shielding defenders off or averting their path. Up to this point, Watkins has yet to see an environment where he didn’t shine and that certainly says something.
Bronson Blair Bronson Blair 5’11” | CG Mountain View | 2024 State GA was consistent all afternoon and when other players were gassed late in the day, Blair only turned it up. We’ve been familiar with Blair and his microwave shooting for a while now but his game offers much more than that now. He had a number of tough finishes at the rim on Saturday and threw a couple of dimes as the primary point man too. Mountain View could certainly stack up some wins if they’re not taken seriously as Bronson Blair Bronson Blair 5’11” | CG Mountain View | 2024 State GA and Mike White will make for a deadly duo.
Ryan Williams Ryan Williams 5’11” | PG Hiram | 2024 State GA got better and better as the day went on and finished with a ton of points to his name. The confidence is at an all-time high and he’s been so decisive when making reads. The off-season work is apparent as Williams continues to show us more of what’s in his bag each week. He’s added that quick burst to his game and now knows how to use it, frequently pressuring the rim and creating paint touches. Currently holds offers from Piedmont and Dean while hearing from a number of D2s he tells me.
Quay Wallace was excellent on Saturday, impacting the game in a variety of ways while showcasing his physical tools and versatility. Wallace has a great motor and he would constantly find the ball whenever he was in the game.Whether it was scoring, rebounding, or passing, Wallace was willing and effective. At the end of the day, Wallace just makes winning plays and a college program will be lucky to have him.
