Grundy County features their first Top 50 player in PrepHoopsTN’s existence in Sam Parson Sam Parson 6'3" | SG Grundy County | 2025 State TN . The tall guard plays with good energy and focus.
The tall guard plays with good energy and focus. Parson is not elite quick, but he handles well enough to create separation currently. Strong. He was an enthusiastic rim-runner for NYBA (AAU) this past summer.
In-game dunking will become a common occurrence for Sam this high school season, probably even in the halfcourt.
He remains a perfect 4.0 G.P.A. student halfway through his high school tenure.

#50 Trae Rideau Trae Rideau 6'1" | PG Clarksville Academy | 2025 State TN
Played varsity as a freshman at the State Tournament. Amazing first step. Rideau played early because he was faster than most with better dribbling skills than most, but his basketball progress took a giant step with the recent development of his mid-range. STARS AAU picked him up and he was one of the only Clarksville guys playing on a shoe circuit team. Didn’t miss a beat.
