There are a lot of really good players in this class, several of whom made a big impact on their varsity teams as ninth graders. But even more impressed on the spring and summer circuit. This list combines both to give a first look at impressive 2026s.
Ordering the top six players was particularly difficult. We tried to weigh accomplishment at the varsity level as a ninth grader, impression on the club circuit and perceived “ceiling.” So we anticipate a lot of rearranging of this list over the next couple of years.
This new list contains 30 names from across the state, headed by Maize High’s Brayden Myovela Brayden Myovela 6'3" | CG Maize | 2026 State KS (pictured) who followed up a big freshman season with an impressive club season.
The inaugural group includes 19 guards, 8 forwards and 3 centers.
Check out the Collegiate High School trio who all were slotted in the top 11 of the class. And be sure to see some of the other small-school players who already made a big varsity splash last year, led by 1A Frankfort’s Wes Anderson Wes Anderson 5'9" | CG Frankfort | 2026 State KS .
