This will be the case when the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo takes over Spain Park HS – the home of the 7A Jaguars. Its program has made major noise in Alabama’s boys basketball scene the last three seasons as they have posted 20-win campaigns in all three.
Other similar events will also emanate from three other states – Pennsylvania, Nebraska and Wisconsin. After looking at seniors and juniors, we turn our attention to the sophomore class.
Of course, there had to be someone at this year’s Prep Hoops Alabama Top 250 representing the host school. Stewart fits that bill and will be one of four from the 7A Jaguars this Saturday. During the travel months of the spring and summer, Stewart wore the uniform of Pro One UA Rise. He is listed at 6-foot-1 and thrives as a combo guard. He can display how accurate he is from behind the 3-point arc and will call for the ball when he is confident in his ability to make a play. How he gets out in transition, attacks the rim and has no problems drawing contact to get to the free throw line are among a few of the attributes that make him one of the signature sophomores in the state.
Jackson Fixler
Jackson Fixler
Fixler is a multi-sport athlete that thrives in the cross country realm whenever he temporarily gives the hardwood a break. Two years ago, he participated in club basketball during the spring and summer months with OFW Galaxy 2026. He is listed at 6-foot-4 and has no issues getting physical in the low post. Overall hard work is a hallmark to his complete game. His high school career has also included a stint at Briarwood Christian School which competes at the 6A level. Fixler will convert on high-percentage shot opportunities and will make things difficult for would-be scorers in the interior.
Owen Leonard
Owen Leonard
When Leonard takes to the court this weekend at the Prep Hoops Alabama Top 250, he – as is the case with Stewart – will have a home court advantage. He will be another notable representing the Columbia blue and black of Spain Park at this event. Leonard can play at either of the two guard positions in the backcourt. His defense enables him to put opposing ball carriers in precarious positions where they could be turnover prone. That will create additional possessions for his team. Among the ways that Leonard can put the ball through the hoop is via the 3-point shot.
