The USC commit is legit. If you love basketball and want to see someone play the right way Liam checks all those boxes. You can tell that his IQ has just shot out of the roof because he is making things look a lot easier. He is using his footwork and angles to position himself in favorable positions. This has allowed him to get to the rim more frequently and he is drawing fouls. He is not settling for tough jumpers he is playing with the flow of the offense and he is impressive with his back to the basket and with his eliet game he is drawing two so when his team cuts and relocates he is going to find them day and night.
Highlights
Like we predicted before this kid was going to get courted by some prep schools looking to make a splash with a player that is well known regionally but instead he decided to stay home and as now committed to Utah State and this is a solid under the radar pick up for this new staff over at USU. Kase is a high flyer and he is an absolute bucket. He can score at all three levels and he plays with a constant motor. His ability to score is off the charts. He is a big time player to watch.
With size at his position and shooting ability Talan has been able to quietly elevate the rest of his game over the years. He would be a really good D3 find and possibly a D2 or NAIA. He has been able to cash in on his shooting by beating players off the dribble on bad closeouts and he has a strong attack game as he has options to finish or drop it off to his elite big or the rest of the shooters that are scattered on this roster. This kid plays hard and with the right school calling he is going to get better.
Gunner is more like 6’0 but he has a smooth game. He is a stop and pop shooter. When he gets his feet set he has some good mechanics and he can hit those tough jumpers on the move. He is active on defense using those active feet and hands and he can cause tough possessions when he is defending on the ball. Look for him to double his output for sure as he has some skills that his team can cash in on.
Do not be surprised if this kid goes off for multiple 30+ games. His size really bothers defenders and he can score from all over the floor. Barrett would be a solid find as he can be a lead guard or play off the ball. If a team is looking for a bigger PG in the NAIA, NWAC or D3 schools this kid is a must see.
The 1A Division 1 Player of the Year has a tough game and he is also a stud on the baseball field. He should be a lock to make at least 1st Team agains with his ability to score the ball.
