In this series, we will be a look at some quick hitters, the top player, potential breakout player, other roster roster members and notable games of the upcoming season. For today’s spotlight, we take a look at the Pike Red Devils.
Quick Hitters
- Finished 16-9 last season
- Lost to Ben Davis in Sectionals
- Hired former NBA guard Jeff Teague as head coach.
Top Player: Camron Casky Camron Casky 6'4" Pike | 2024 IN / Dezhon Hall Dezhon Hall 6'3" | PG Pike | 2026 State IN
When determining the top player for the Red Devils this season, it came down to if I valued the senior leader or one of the top 2026s in the state more. Well, I figured out I highly valued both too much to pick one or the other. Starting with the senior leader Camron Casky Camron Casky 6'4" Pike | 2024 IN , he is 6’3 guard that is one of the more highly athletic wings we have in the state and is just really efficient at scoring at all three levels. He also returns as a a Indiana Junior All-Star. Switching to Dezhon Hall Dezhon Hall 6'3" | PG Pike | 2026 State IN , he is one of the best 2026s we have in the state and is getting better and better. He transferred to Pike in the offseason and instantly provided a major boost in the backcourt for the Red Devils. The left-handed guard is explosive off of the dribble, gets to the rim at a high level, and is a dynamic playmaker on the perimeter. Both Casky and Hall could be one of the best backcourt duos in the Indianapolis area.
Potential Breakout Player: Isaiah Hill
While he may only be an incoming freshman, Isaiah Hill is a name that EVERYBODY needs to know moving forward. He is already a 6’9 prospect that has some raw skills. He has flashed some good hands around the rim offensively and some good timing on the defensive end to block shots and protect the rim. It will likely take him some time to get adjusted to the varsity level, but if he gets his shot, he could really breakout this season.
Other Important Roster Members
Coryell Spates Coryell Spates 6'1" | SG Pike | 2024 State IN -Spates showed some great flashes of potential last season and should take on a more important role this upcoming season. Spates shot over 50% from three-point range this season on nearly four attempts per game. He has a chance to be one of the top 3 leading scorers next season for Pike.
Damon Howard Damon Howard 6'1" | PG Pike | 2025 State IN – As junior now, Howard will be looking to fill out the loaded backcourt rotation for the Red Devils next season. He showed some great potential last season at the varsity level but I feel he is going to take his game to that next level. Posses a solid shooting stroke and good playmaking ability.
Jalen Ashley Jalen Ashley 6'6" | PF Pike | 2025 State IN – Ashley is going to provide an upperclassman presence for Pike this season with Isaiah Hill slowly coming along. The 6’5″ versatile forward has a very well-rounded skill set that includes using his length to score in the paint and his quickness to score on the perimeter. Solid rebounder as well.
Titus Hunter Titus Hunter 6'5" | PF Pike | 2025 State IN – Hunter will be another upperclassman post that will likely contribute this season.
