In this series, we will be a look at some quick hitters, the top player, potential breakout player, other roster roster members and notable games of the upcoming season. For today’s spotlight, we take a look at the Leo Lions.
Quick Hitters
- Finish 9-14 last season
- Lost to Fort Wayne Concordia in Sectionals
- Cary Cogdell returns for 20th year as head coach. 270-172 record as head coach of the Lions
Top Player: Jackson McGee
Over the summer, McGee proved to be one of the best lead guards in the in-state 2024 class. He is a highly recruited small college point guard that has excellent physical tools, is very strong, and is under control at all times when handling the ball. Has a great motor and is just not afraid to attack the defense, its almost his go-to move. Expect a strong ending to his high school career here at Leo.
Potential Breakout Player: Trey Hiteshew
Hiteshew is another senior guard here that is going to produce for Leo all season long. He can be a lights out shooter from behind the arc, very quick and tough. While he can play on the ball, he is at his best off the ball where he makes great cuts to the basket and gets to his spots. Aggressive on the defensive end as well. Lot of potential this season for Hiteshew.
Other Important Roster Members:
- Eli LaGrange
Notable Games (Confirmed)
- at Fort Wayne Concordia (11/22)
- at Fort Wayne Wayne (11/29)
- vs Homestead (12/19)
- Fort Wayne Blackhawk (2/20)
