In this series, we will be a look at some quick hitters, the top player, potential breakout player, other roster roster members and notable games of the upcoming season. For today’s spotlight, we take a look at the Heritage Hills Patriots.
Quick Hitters
- Finished 16-9 last season
- Lost to Washington in Sectionals
- Nate Hawkins returns for 8th year as head coach. 128-41 record as head coach for Patriots.
Top Player: Trent Sisley Trent Sisley 6'8" | PF Heritage Hills | 2025 State #47 Nation IN
Well this choice was pretty easy. Not only is Sisley the best player on this Heritage Hills team, but the four-star forward is one of the best players both in the state and nationally. Last season, he averaged 26.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game so a double-double season is expected. He comes in after having a phenomenal summer which is why he has high interest from schools such as Indiana, Purdue, Michigan State and Notre Dame. Sisley has gotten better and better every season and he will be one of the most dominant players the entire year.
Potential Breakout Player: Jake Prior Jake Prior 6'5" | SG Heritage Hills | 2026 State IN
The big knock for Heritage Hills getting legit help around Sisley. By all accounts, Jake Prior Jake Prior 6'5" | SG Heritage Hills | 2026 State IN could be that sidekick that the Patriots need for Sisley. He has a real fluid style to his game and I thought he had one of the better mid-range jumpers throughout the weekend. He moves well off of the ball, freeing up space on the floor. While almost everything will run through Sisley, Prior has a real chance to take some pressure off of him, especially when it comes to scoring. Breakout potential.
Other Important Roster Members
- Colten Hopf Colten Hopf 6'3" | SG Heritage Hills | 2025 IN – When is comes to the backcourt, Hopf will be one of the better players in that unit. A really good sized guard that can shoot and has great fundamentals.
- Hunter Meredith Hunter Meredith 5'11" | PG Heritage Hills | 2025 IN – Meredith will likely be the guard most on the ball for Heritage Hills. He is scrappy and isn’t afraid to put his body on the line, and he always has his hands active, looking to poke the ball away for a steal.
- Peyton Gray Peyton Gray 6'2" | PG Heritage Hills | 2026 IN – Gray is another player that could see an increased role for the Patriots. He is an athletic guard that that plays with a high IQ.
Notable Games (Confirmed)
- vs Guerin Catholic (Southport Tipoff) (12/9)
- at Evansville Memorial (12/15)
