Continue ReadingThe months of August and September are arguably the quietest when it comes to the year-long basketball schedule. Grassroots season has ended, the high school season is still a couple months away, and fall leagues haven’t started in full force yet. These are the couple of months reserved for getting back to school and starting the football season. However, in 49 other states it is just basketball, but this INDIANA. Prep Hoops Indiana is your 365-day a year source for content and we will never stop coming up with unique series to satisfy the hunger for year-around news. We’ve recently ran several series including updated prospect rankings, high school spotlights, top prospects regardless of class, and several others. Now, let’s dive on in to a new series which will highlight the best uncommitted prospects at each position.
Davis is arguably the top uncommitted prospect in Indiana’s Class of 2024 overall after an excellent summer on the EYBL Circuit with Indy Heat 17u. He is an explosive, dynamic playmaker with high-level end-to-end speed and the ability to get up and finish around the rim at the end of his drives. Over the summer he started to shoot the ball better from the perimeter, but is still at his best when getting downhill to the basket. The left-handed point guard is very talented with the ball and will be a perfect fit for an up-tempo offense.
Current Offers: Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, IUPUI, Le Moyne, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, Purdue Fort Wayne, SIU-Edwardsville, Southern Indiana
There aren’t many, if any, prospects in Indiana’s Class of 2024 that have put up bigger numbers at the high school level. Dunham averaged 24.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 2.5 steals per game as a junior at Evansville Christian. The 6’0″ point guard is an excellent scorer off of the dribble, has the strength to play through contact, and is a very good shooter both from beyond the arc and in the mid-range. He is a great playmaker as well with high basketball IQ and a good court vision. Look for college interest to pick up even more going into his senior season.
Current Offers: SIU-Edwardsville
Lawrence North will feature the most dynamic backcourt in the state and Bowles is certainly a big part of that. He is extremely explosive off of the dribble both getting end-to-end in transition and when getting to the basket where he can finish above the defense. The left-handed point guard is definitely at his best when playing in the open floor, off of ballscreens, or when attacking the rim. College programs need to be following him very closely going into his senior season.

Highlights
Howell is one of the best pure scorers in the state of Indiana. He has continued to gain more and more traction with college programs over the last few months and should have a big senior season. The 5’7″ point guard averaged 23.2 points and 4.0 assists per game while making 60 three-point shots at over a 36% clip. His ability to create his own shot is really impressive at his size and has proven to be able to score at a high level against any competition. College programs that value scoring in the backcourt should be on Howell.
Current Offers: Marian
Indiana’s Class of 2024 is flush with smaller point guards that are high-level playmakers and can really score the basketball. Lewis, a Fort Wayne Wayne product, is certainly one of the better ones after averaging 16.6 points and 6.4 assists per game as a junior while leading the Generals to a Semi-State appearance. The 5’9″ left-handed point guard is extremely quick off of the dribble, can shoot it from three-point range, and is a very good passer. He should continue to garner college interest from a variety of levels into his senior season.
