Schools in the Counties: Bethune-Bowman HS, Calhoun Academy, Calhoun County HS, Edisto HS, Holly Hill Academy, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler HS, Lake Marion HS, North HS, Orangeburg Prep, Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS
Bethune-Bowman HS – The Mohawks (13-11) a year ago will look to make that next step this season. The Mohawks have some nice pieces in place with Jailen Avinger, Derick Simon, Terrance McFadden Terrance McFadden 6'4" | PF Bethune-Bowman | 2026 State SC and Bryson Robinson Bryson Robinson 6'4" | SF Bethune-Bowman | 2025 State SC . Avinger and Simon both are currently playing football. McFadden and Robinson are both underclassmen on the Mohawks roster.
Calhoun Academy – The Cavaliers finished (20-10) a season ago. The Cavaliers will have to replace several seniors off last year’s squad. Who will step-up this year and take on that leadership role?
Calhoun County HS – Head Coach Zam Fredrick has won 811 career games for the Saints program. The Saints finished (15-6) a season ago. Fredrick starts his 33rd year at the school with 10 state championships. Christian Zachary Christian Zachary 6'3" | SF Calhoun County | 2024 SC is headed off to the University of Virginia to play football next year.
Edisto HS (Cordova) – The Cougars finished (8-13) a season ago.
Holly Hill Academy – The Raiders have a new coach in Mason Padgett this year. Jody Gillam Jody Gillam 6'1" | PG Holly Hill Academy | 2025 State SC transferred in from nearby Orangeburg Prep. Gillam averaged 8.7 ppg and 4.3 assists last year from the point guard position.
Hunter-Kinard-Tyler HS – The Trojans finished (5-12) a season ago. Senior Jayshawn Smalls and Amen Darby both return from last year’s squad. Smalls sveraged 14.8 ppg and 6.2 rebounds.
Lake Marion HS (Santee) – The Gators struggled last year and finished (3-17).
North HS (North) – The Eagles could be a sleeper in Class 1A this coming season under Head Coach Keith Parks. Jaleil Way Jaleil Way 6'0" | PG North | 2026 State SC , Stetson Stack Stetson Stack 5'10" | CG North | 2025 State SC and Amaveon Calloway Amaveon Calloway 5'7" | PG North | 2024 State SC will all provide leadership on this roster. Stack is a GAMER on the floor at times. He finishes drives with his left-handed and really likes to dial up from long distance.
Orangeburg Prep – The Indians finished (11-14) a season ago. T Riley T Riley 6'5" | SF Orangeburg Prep | 2026 State SC , Seniors Austin Hall and Jay Plummer Jay Plummer 6'0" | SG Orangeburg Prep | 2024 State SC are back for this season. Riley a left-handed forward averaged 14.9 ppg and 10.5 rebounds while Hall chipped in at 12 ppg and 9 rebounds a night. Plummer a shooting guard provides perimeter shooting and some toughness on the floor.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS – The Bruins will have a new coach this year in Henry Howard. Kashannon Strobert Kashannon Strobert 6'6" | PF North | 2024 State SC a left-handed post player transferred in from nearby North HS. Jeremiah Jacques Jeremiah Jacques 5'11" | PG Orangeburg-Wilkinson | 2024 State SC , Maurion Gordon Maurion Gordon 6'6" | PF Orangeburg-Wilkinson | 2024 State SC and Keith Smith Keith Smith 6'1" | CG Orangeburg-Wilkinson | 2025 State SC will look to step-up this season. Jacques brings a fierce competitive edge to the floor. He really likes to play the game up in your face and 94 feet at all times. Gordon brings some good versatility to the wing position while Smith really looks to defend on the ball.
