Colin Cavanaugh Colin Cavanaugh 5'10" | PG Red Bank Catholic | 2024 State NJ , 5’10 Red Bank Catholic
Cavanaugh has the potential to have a big winter with his ability to knock down jumpers from behind the arc. The 5’10 lefty has a smooth release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Cavanaugh moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the halfcourt. He is an underrated passer and can get deflections on defense. Cavanaugh is a sharpshooting guard whose ability to knock down triples is something that will help his game in a big way this season.
Ka’Juan Gee Ka’Juan Gee 6'0" | PG Paterson Charter | 2024 State NJ , 6’0 Paterson Charter
Gee had a solid debut season for the Lions and should have an even bigger senior season. The 6’0 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he is a good finisher around the rim and is unafraid of contact. Gee can also score in the mid-range and can make opponents pay for giving him space on the perimeter. He can defend multiple positions on the floor and is a strong rebounder. Gee’s ability to make plays on both ends of the floor is something that will help his stock throughout the winter.
Jerrel Alston Jerrel Alston 5'11" | PG Immaculata | 2024 State NJ , 5’10 Immaculata
Alston ran the Spartans’ offense last season and should do it again this season. The 5’10 guard has a good handle, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and get into the lane. Alston finishes nicely around the basket and is able to draw contact in the paint. He slides his feet on the defensive end and has the ability to play off the ball as well. Alston is a gritty guard prospect who should have a strong 2023-24 season with his ability to run the offense.
Jahan Owusu Jahan Owusu 6'1" | PG Princeton | 2024 State NJ , 6’2 Princeton
Scott led the Little Tigers in scoring last season last season and should do it again in 2023-24. The 6’2 guard is at his best attacking the basket as he finishes strong and does not mind contact. Scott is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. He uses his long arms to get deflections on defense and works hard on the glass. Scott is a slashing guard prospect whose ability to score in the mid-range is something that will help him put up big numbers this winter.
Ryan Kress Ryan Kress 5'11" | PG Randolph | 2024 State NJ , 5’11 Randolph
Kress put up big numbers in his junior season and should eclipse them in 2023-24. The 5’11 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Kress moves well without the ball in his hands and can also finish around the basket. He gets his teammates involved in the halfcourt and is an underrated defender. Kress ended the 2022-23 season with three straight 25-point games and is looking to continue the streak in his senior season.
