Here are some unranked 2A guys ready for big senior seasons (in alphabetical order):
Isaac Briar Isaac Briar 6'1" | SG Sterling | 2024 State KS , 6-foot-1 forward, 2024, Sterling:
The leader of a loaded senior class, Briar earned some honorable mentions from the 2A class as well as second-team in the Heart of America League. Sterling went 17-6 last year and only a ridiculously tough sub-state kept them from making more noise in the postseason. He’s a lights-out marksman from deep and a versatile guard/forward.
Tucker Groh, 6-foot-1 guard, 2024, Chase County:
Another key component of a really good team, Groh’s Bulldogs went 19-4 last year. He contributed in a lot of the gritty ways that can go unnoticed. But he’s a big, versatile guard who can do just about everything and will play a much bigger role this year.
Coltin Harbin, 6-foot-2 guard, 2024, Wichita County:
Harbin is a stat sheet stuffer. As a junior, he averaged 14 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. That versatility earned him first team in the Hi Plains League and some all-state attention. He is given the green light to let it rip from deep and he regularly knocks down four or more 3-pointers in a contest.
Kaedin Massey, 6-foot-8 center, 2024, Lyndon:
All eyes will be on Massey this fall as he plays his final football season before taking his talents to Kansas State. But for us at Prep Hoops, the question will be if he decides to suit up for another season with the Tigers. His size will be almost impossible to counter at the 2A level, not to mention that he has the footwork and agility that has football scouts drooling. Massey has yet to really establish his dominance in basketball and may decide to seize upon this last opportunity to show what he can do.
Jaden Nuss Jaden Nuss 6'2" | SF Hill City | 2024 State KS , 6-2 forward, 2024, Hill City:
The sidekick of big all-stater Trent Long Trent Long 5'10" | CG Clifton-Clyde | 2024 State KS , Nuss is ready to lead the Ringnecks. Hill City returns several pieces from its 17-5 team. Nuss was used to doing a lot of the dirty work but will look to add to his 13 point per game average. He’s one of the best players returning to the Mid-Continent League.
