#76 Jacob Amonett Jacob Amonett 6'0" | PG Pickett County | 2025 State TN (Pickett County) is a stellar point guard, the younger brother of Will Amonett and Zach Amonett. Jacob really blossomed during his sophomore season. He gained toughness and figured out how to effectively use his newly-earned strength.
“Jacob is a perfect lead guard for any team,” said brother Zach. “He can play pass first and get you into an offense or he can get his game off and take over a game with his shooting and crafty finishing. He really showed off his range and three-point shot this summer with Pro One [AL]. He’s also a prideful defender because of the strength and physicality he can bring with his body type.”
#77 Avery Townsend Avery Townsend 6'1" | PG Martin Luther King | 2025 State TN (Martin Luther King) is very fast with the basketball in his hands. He plays with some flair, some flash. Townend can really get up and down the court. There are times when his defense changes the game, though he needs to make those quick, disruptive hands a constant disruption. He does not gamble on defense recklessly though he takes wise chances that result in turnovers. Good two-way player. Needs to develop his jumper for college, but he is already a dynamic, at-times dominant player in a challenging Nashville Metro.
#78 Tryce Grensing Tryce Grensing 6'0" | PG Providence Christian Academy | 2025 State TN (Providence Christian Academy) earned All-District during his sophomore year. He scored 11 points on Senior Night against a good USN team. Late January he put up 12 points in a road win over MTCS. Grensing also lead his team in scoring in a riveting double overtime win over USN just before MLK Day.
#79 Deandre Jenkins Deandre Jenkins 6'3" | PG Tullahoma | 2025 State TN (Tullahoma) uses his long wingspan to make an impact on the defensive end. Jenkins plays football too. DJ was a fantastic trapper when the team worked with a help defender in the halfcourt. Jenkins rebounded better than most guards in the state too. High-academic with a 3.7 GPA. In 2021, Jenkins and Tullahoma won a TSSAA State Championship in football.
#80 Landon Shirk Landon Shirk 6'4" | PG Walker Valley | 2025 State TN (Walker Valley / TN Impact)
Landon now stands 6-foot-3. Landon’s dad was offered by Middle Tennessee State University, now named Middle Tennessee. Shirk is light on his feet. He gets up the court ok.
“Landon has a great feel for the game with a very high IQ,” shared Tennessee Impact Director/Coach Jamie Meadows. “Explosive defensive player that can change a game that leads to production on offense. Has the ability to score in bunches. He could work on being more consistent offensively and [his] shot selection.”
Look for him to really shoot the ball with confidence once again in 2023-2024.
