This article will be about the 2A Evergreen Conference MVP and first team selections.
MVP: Tyler Klatush Tyler Klatush 6'1" | SG WF West | 2024 State WA (2024) – WF West HS
Tyler was named first team all conference last year and is the only person from the first team returning this season. He will be one of the main options for WF West to either score or to have the ball in his hands in general. He is a great playmaker who knocks down his shots at a high rate. He has been making his game more well rounded and is a lot craftier with the ball in his hands.
Other MVP Candidates: Gage Brumfield Gage Brumfield 6'2" | SG WF West | 2025 State WA c/o 2025 – WF West , Clay Morgan Clay Morgan 6'4" | SF Tumwater | 2024 State WA c.o 2024 – Tumwater HS
First Team Predictions:
Tyler Klatush Tyler Klatush 6'1" | SG WF West | 2024 State WA (2024) – WF West HS – see above.
Gage Brumfield Gage Brumfield 6'2" | SG WF West | 2025 State WA (2025) – WF West HS – Gage is a fantastic athletic, one of the most athletic players within the entire conference. He attacks the rim strongly, doing whatever it takes to get the bucket. He isn’t scared to go into opposing players bodies and is always willing to do whatever it takes to win the game. He plays alongside Klatush nicely, being able to play from the wing effectively.
Clay Morgan Clay Morgan 6'4" | SF Tumwater | 2024 State WA (2024) – Tumwater HS – Clay is a smooth wing for Tumwater who has some great size, standing at 6’4/5″. He is fantastic at putting the ball on the ground and getting into lanes inside the three point arc. With his length, he is hard to stop and has such a unique style of play that defenders need to stay ready. If he improves his deep shot, he could be a dark horse to win league MVP.
Simon Nysted Simon Nysted 6'1" | SG Black Hills | 2024 WA (2024) – Black Hills HS – Simon will likely be one of, if no the main, target at Black Hills next season with their 2023 class graduated. He made 2nd team all league last year during his junior year season. I think he will be more well rounded than he was last year. Nysted is already known for his good deep shot but will be able to display more playmaking abilities next season and people could notice a jump in his game.
Parker Eiswald Parker Eiswald 6'7" | SF WF West | 2024 State WA (2024) – WF West HS – With Soren Dalan graduating for WF West, there will be an opening for someone who can work well from the low or high post. Parker is very efficient from either spot but also can step out and hit his shots at a high rate, adding a different look for defenders compared to Dalan. Eiswald stands at 6’6″ and should be a key playmaker on this squad next year.
