In the ‘David Barns Showcase – SHOOTERS!” article we looked at some of the players that were impressive in this aspect of their game. Well, we said there were a lot of impressive shooters, so here’s MORE SHOOTERS! from the event.
Bledsoe definitely impressed onlookers with his ability to shoot the basketball. He moved without it in his hands and did a great job of staying shot ready and looking for the pass. Bledsoe was able to catch in rhythm and fill it up.
Viehman was very impressive on Saturday and his ability to shoot was definitely part of that. He’s a bouncy forward that is a true 3 level scorer. Viehman’s ability to step out and shoot can really stretch and pressure the defense to make good decisions on rotations.

Laingsburg may be on to something here. Wade definitely turned my head at the event. He was a versatile and athletic scorer that was a threat from basically anywhere. Wade hit multiple triples and was able to shoot with balance in traffic.
I’ve seen Zickert basically not miss in a 3 point shooting contest, so we kind of knew it was just a matter of time. He got more comfortable as the day went on and his jumper heated up, showing range extending beyond the arc. Zickert averaged double figure points on the Prep Hoops Circuit this summer.
Wolak is a high quality lead guard with top notch court vision and he showed that on Saturday. But he also showed he can bury a triple if the defense steps off of him. If a defender steps off and tries to play passing lanes, Wolak showed that he can make them pay.
Marcial definitely drew some eyes to his game at the David Barns Showcase. He showed that he can be a very focused and effective shooter with 3 point range. Marcial stayed focused on the shot and was able to bury it with a hand in his face. I liked his ability to play and shoot over the top of defenders.
I really like this young man’s game and I think he’s going to have a huge high school season. He certainly looked the part at the David Barns Showcase. Everhart worked hard without the ball and was able to show the 3 point range on his jumper.
