Prep Hoops Dakotas wanted to make this a short list to emphasize who really had a ball-handling skill-set worth talking about.
Connor Mebius Connor Mebius 5'8" | PG West Central | 2027 State SD | 5’7 | PG | 2027 | West Central | Hoop City SD |
Connor plays the point guard position to perfection. And with that comes an elite handle on the ball and change of pace and change of direction. His handle gives him supreme confidence on the court as a passer and scorer as well. He doesn’t get too “pretty” with the ball even though he easily could. No wasted action from the up-and-coming point guard. He’ll be rolling with new South Dakota program, Hoop City SD, and showcasing his talents on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Let’s go!
Boche Knight Boche Knight 5'4" | PG West Central | 2027 State SD | 5’4 | PG | 2027 | West Central | Team Warwick |
Boche was one of the smallest prospects, but he has a big-time handle on the ball. He was the quickest prospect at the event and having a skilled handle on the ball allows him to play fast offensively as well.
Aiden Green Aiden Green 6'0" | PG Horace | 2027 State ND | 5’10 | PG | Horace (ND) | Inspired Athletics |
It’s obvious Aiden works on his game and his ball-handling repertoire. Super confident with the ball and can make any move imaginable with the ball. He’s best and most comfortable with the rock in his hands.
Najeh Boyd Najeh Boyd 5'9" | CG Bismarck | 2027 State ND | 5’7 | PG | Bismarck | Impact Basketball |
Najeh probably should have made an all-showcase team with his supreme athletic ability and handle. The most explosive athlete at the event that can explode off the drive and get off the ground and hang there. A handle that allows him to breakdown his defender and continue his dribble to the cup. It seemed like he got stronger and quicker with every game, while his competition was losing a step. Athletic endurance at its finest.
