To prepare for the season in the coming months, I will be dropping some City Rankings and ranking players in the area their school resides in. Skagit county doesn’t have many teams, but there is some great talent.
To me, Davis is the best player in the Skagit County area. It is very hard to argue with that, given he is a top overall player in the entire 2025 class. He is shifty with the ball and finds his spots smoothly. He can create space for himself nicely off the dribble or moving without the ball. He’s a big time talent in the area who could see himself playing Division 1 basketball after his time at Anacortes.
Quinn is arguably the best scorer in the area. He has a lightning quick release and is tough to chase around as he is always moving looking for open shots. Swanson is the type of player who will drop 30-40 points REGULARLY. And does it with ease, dropping 5/6+ three pointers if he’s on fire. He is starting to gain the attention of college basketball coaches, as he should.
Michael is the other side to the backcourt for the Bulldogs. Johnson is able to play with or without the ball in his hands and is effective either way. He finds his spots nicely with his dribbling moves, smoothly getting to his mid-range jumper. He has great vision, being one of the top passers in the area as well.
Rex Wilson

Now is where it gets a bit difficult in organizing these guys in the correct order. For this 4th spot, I’m going to go with Rex Wilson from the Tigers. He is a guard who can put the ball on the ground to get to the hoop or hit deep catch and shoot threes without hesitation. He had a great summer over the past couple months and will play a big role for Burlington-Edison next year.

Madden was a freshman last year and while he didn’t see much time on the court, he was getting practices in with the team daily. During this past summer he has been running with the varsity team and getting some big minutes with the squad. He is a shifty guard who plays with a lot of grit and confidence. He can hit outside shots when needed but excels when he runs the court, with or without the ball in his hands.
