To prepare for the season in the coming months, I will be dropping some City Rankings and ranking players in the area their school resides in. Skagit county doesn’t have many teams, but there is some great talent.
Logan Heigert
Logan Heigert
Logan is a very intriguing prospect who has a ton of potential on the court. He stretches the floor nicely, as he has a smooth jumper. He attacks the glass well, being aggressive down in the paint. He is a great rebounder who reads the ball coming off the rim nicely. He’ll have a great sophomore year next year.
Kaden Sokol
Kaden Sokol
Kaden showed a lot of growth just through the couple weeks of the high school summer league this year. He plays with a ton of energy on the court, helping bring momentum to his team. He plays solid defense and can hit shots when left open. He will have to display more of his capability of handling the ball next year.
Rion Silva
Rion Silva
Rion is another player who showed a lot of growth and promise during the high school summer league. He plays great defense, using his body to his advantage to stay with ball handlers. He is aggressive on the glass, being able to rebound well. He will need to display more of a well rounded offensive game to move up in these rankings.
Bryson Harris
Bryson Harris
Bryson brings a lot of energy to the court and is a great leader for his team. He leads by example, giving 110% effort every single play and never taking a play off. Harris has great vision on the court, seeing his teammates with ease. He has solid handles, being shifty on the court and being able to create separation.
Lucas Johnson
Lucas Johnson
Lucas is mainly a football athlete, but also does play hoops for Mount Vernon. He is a big body player who stands at 6’7″. He is dominant on the rebounds, being able to out-body pretty much any player in the conference. He sets great screens and rolls smoothly to the hoop to finish the occasional lay-up.
