Arch Madness: Teddy’s Grind Region Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of my favorite parts of this weekend was the fact that I covered teams from a region I don't usually over. Here's a look at some of my top Grind Region Prospects from Arch Madness. NOTE: Players who were named to the all-tournament first team are not included on this list. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Brady Collar - GABL Future (KS) 2025</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Collar shined while playing up a year on 17U team. In their first game of the weekend, he really pushed GABL over the top and had a huge second half. He was consistent attacking the rim and really made you pay if he found an open look. Collar also displayed a nice burst and wasn't faxed by finishing through contact or drawing would. As the weekend went on, he also got it done in transition and created lots of second-chance opportunities. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Demarques Fletcher - GABL Future (KS) 2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another propesct on GABL Future I was intrigued by was Demarques Fletcher. He's a small point guard but plays with a high amount go energy. To begin, he does does much on the defensive side. Quick footwork and hand movement allow him to create turnovers and turn it into offense. And he even had a chase-down block Saturday morning. He also fights on the floor for loose balls.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Donavan Gomez - Arnold Elite Rouche 2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This unsigned senior put on quite the performance Saturday Morning. He's a volume shooter who cant be left open while displaying a smooth shooting stroke and making the right reads on the floor. He really shows the qualities you want in a leader too.His trust in his teammates and ability to communicate at a high rate are just a few examples of this.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Malcolm Collymore - Arnold Elite National 2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>6'8" forward displayed plenty of athletic qualities a D2/D3 should would love to add. In addition to the length he disposes, he displayed terrific post work and body position on the low block. Collymore's length allowed him to also make an impact both as a defender and rebounder too, as he forced difficulty shots and created a handful of second-chance opportunities. Lastly, Collymore was very efficient with his footwork.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Malakai Maddox - Arnold Elite National 2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Maddox displayed terrific slashing abilities this weekend. I was highly intrigued by his mobility in the open floor along with the touch he displayed scoring inside. He showed excellent speed up and down the floor and had great stamina out there. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Mason English - MO Legacy 2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I was very impressed with the skills Mason English has to go along with the size he disposes. Although he's sized like a big, he displayed tremendous guard-like abilities. He's a crafty ball handler who did a great job creating separation from others and finding the rim. He also worked nicely off the pick and roll and created scoring chances for both himself and the guys around him. Overall, he's got a nice IQ and can surprise you with what he brings to the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Greg Ballard - BTB Elite 2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Greg Ballard is a lengthy wing/guard who was a difference maker Sunday morning. He displayed terrific three level scoring capabilities and showed he can knock down shots in different spaces on the floor. is shooting form made it tough for defenders to block him, making tough shots look easy. Ballard ended the weekend burying a contested corner three in the final second to bear Arkansas LRJ.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
