Owen Griffin Owen Griffin 6'4" | SF St. Joe's Metuchen | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 F St. Joe’s Metuchen
Griffin is a hard-working forward prospect who has the potential to have a strong 2023-24 season. The 6’4 forward is a force on the boards as he is tough to box out and secures second chance opportunities for his team. Griffin has a nice touch around the basket and uses his body to get position down low. He rarely forces shot in the half court and is a solid defender. Griffin plays with a motor that doesn’t stop, which should help his stock in a big way.
Ikenna Ibeku Ikenna Ibeku 6'4" | PF South Plainfield | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 PF South Plainfield
Ibeku has the potential to have a breakout 2023-24 season as he is the Tigers top returning scorer from last season. The 6’4 forward sets good screens in the half court and dives hard to the basket, making him a weapon in the pick-and-roll. Ibeku has a nice touch around the basket and can draw contact in the paint. He has an underrated face-up game and uses his length to be disruptive on defense. Ibeku is a long forward prospect who will be one to track over the next couple of months.
Kiye Walker Kiye Walker 6'3" | SF Spotswood | 2024 State NJ , 6’3 SF Spotswood
Walker is looking to build off a strong 2022-23 campaign as he put up 13 20-point games. The 6’3 wing attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong around the basket and is unafraid of drawing contact. Walker is more than just a slasher as he is capable of knocking down open jumpers on the perimeter. He is an underrated rebounder and moves his feet on the defensive end. Walker’s ability to score inside and out is something that will help his development over the next couple of months.
Rion Ahmetaj Rion Ahmetaj 6'5" | SF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2024 State NJ , 6’6 SF Spotswood
Ahmetaj is one of the more intriguing prospects in the class as he can impact the game in a number of ways. The 6’6 wing has a solid face-up game as he can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim from the perimeter. Ahmetaj finishes nicely around the basket and his range extends out to the three-point line. He is an underrated rebounder and has the potential to defend multiple positions on the floor. Ahmetaj is a lanky wing prospect, who will be one to track in the GMC this season.
Micah Eason Micah Eason 5'10" | PG Woodbridge | 2024 State NJ , 5’10 PG Woodbridge
Eason had a solid summer season and is looking to carry it over into the winter. The 5’10 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane and make plays. Eason finishes in a number of ways around the basket and can also score in the mid-range. He uses his quick hands to create deflections and has the ability to play off the ball as well. Eason’s ability to play on and off the ball is something that will help his game in a big way this season.
