This past weekend was the final go for the vast majority of teams and now we are just weeks away from students coming back to college campuses. The upcoming week could be a very busy one as staffs meet to debrief on a busy spring and summer. Also, high school students will be heading back to school even sooner than the colleges so there will be some visits and even commitments being made before the start of the school year. Let’s dive on in to all of the latest recruiting news around the state of Indiana.
- The biggest prize in the state of Indiana, 5-star center Flory Bidunga Flory Bidunga 6'9" | C Kokomo | 2024 State #7 Nation IN (Kokomo H.S. 2024), is nearing his college decision. On Monday, Bidunga announced he was down to a final four of Auburn, Duke, Kansas, and Michigan. He is expected to announce before Kokomo starts the school year on Tuesday, August 2nd.
- The offers continued to roll in for Evan Haywood (Brebeuf Jesuit 2024). Eastern Illinois became the latest school to extend an offer on Monday.
- Speaking of Eastern Illinois, they also offered Keenan Garner Keenan Garner 6'6" | PF Fishers | 2024 State IN (Fishers H.S. 2024) and Micah Davis Micah Davis 6'0" | PG Franklin | 2024 State #184 Nation IN (Franklin H.S. 2024) on Monday.
- Jacob Seward Jacob Seward 6'3" | SG Clarksville | 2024 IN (Clarksville H.S. 2024) received an offer from Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma City.
- Anderson hosted Jayson Hart Jayson Hart 6'3" | SG Fort Wayne Snider | 2024 State IN (Fort Wayne Snider H.S. 2024) for a visit on Tuesday.
- On Wednesday, Anderson had Cole Duncan Cole Duncan 6'9" | C Cowan | 2024 State IN (Cowan H.S. 2024) on campus for a visit.
- Azavier Robinson Azavier Robinson 6'1" | PG Lawrence North | 2025 State #88 Nation IN (Lawrence North H.S. 2025) continues to be a hot commodity in the Class of 2025. The dynamic point guard picked up an offer from Illinois on Tuesday.
- On Wednesday, Indiana Tech extended an offer to 6’8″ center Caleb Lehrman Caleb Lehrman 6'7" | PF Bishop Dwenger | 2024 State IN (Bishop Dwenger H.S. 2024).
- Drew Kegerreis Drew Kegerreis 6'3" | SG Roncalli | 2024 State IN (Roncalli H.S. 2024) visited Wabash College on Wednesday.
- This isn’t technically recruiting news, but it certainly shifts the landscape of Indiana High School Basketball. On Wednesday, 5-star point guard Jalen Haralson Jalen Haralson 6'7" | PG La Lumiere | 2025 #8 Nation IN announced his plans to transfer from Fishers to La Lumiere for his junior season. He then announced an offer from Duke on Thursday.
- Devon Lewis Devon Lewis 5'10" | PG Canterbury | 2024 State IN (Canterbury 2024) was offered by Bluffton while on a visit to the school on Wednesday.
- While visiting DePauw on Wednesday, 6’7″ center Isaac Schultz Isaac Schultz 6'7" | C Adams Central | 2024 State IN (Adams Central H.S. 2024) received an offer.
- Jack Halls Jack Halls 6'8" | PF Terre Haute North | 2024 State IN (Terre Haute North H.S. 2024), a 6’7″ center, was offered by Judson while visiting the school on Thursday.
