That means that inevitably there are players that are sliding under the radar or just flat out underrated. Anthony Spencer Anthony Spencer 5'11" | SG Chandler Park Academy | 2024 State MI Jr. could easily fit in the under the radar or underrated category. He’s a skilled guard who seems ready to have a breakout high school season. Spencer Jr. is definitely a player to keep a close eye on as we head toward the fall showcase season. He’s currently averaging 23 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds per game. Let’s take a closer look at this intriguing prospect.

STRENGTHS OF HIS GAME:
Defending – Spencer Jr. brings grit and toughness to the defensive end of the floor. He can lock down in man defense. Spencer Jr. has an eye for the ball and quick hands that help him force a high number of turnovers.
Shooting – He’s a solid shooter that can score in solation as well as within the offense.
Creating off a pick and roll – Spencer Jr. has a really nice feel in the pick and roll. He reads the defense and their reaction to the screen and makes a play from there.
Making his teammates better – Spencer Jr. is the kind of player that makes those around him better. He gets and is capable of getting big numbers. But he doesn’t do it at the expense of his team or teammates.
Finishing – He’s a multi level scorer that can finish when attacking the rim as well as in the open floor.
AREA FOR IMPROVEMENT:
Rebounding – If Spencer Jr. was more active on the glass, he could use his speed and feel for the game to push the pace off the board.

You have to really like what this young man’s focus is on. When talking about his goals, he talks about getting better. He obviously trusts that if he continues to improve the rest will fall in line. My basketball goals are to perfect everything I work on, working hard, and keep getting better, Class of 2024
