While there was a ton of talent in the gym, below are some of the guys that stood out with their respective teams.
Rickey Loftin Rickey Loftin 6’0″ | SG Westside | 2024 State NE had one of the best performances of the night in a very close win versus the KC Spurs. Loftin scored on all three levels, including 5 threes. He also found success scoring out of the mid post and attacking the rim. Loftin was a threat defensively as well, causing havoc and forcing a lot of steals. He finished with 26 points, seeming to not miss all night long. Stock rising performance for the Guard out of Omaha Westside.
Benji Nelson had a solid night, continuing his positive momentum this summer. Nelson was a force on both ends of the floor, and really showcased his versatility. He knocked in a couple threes, finished around the rim, hauled in several rebounds and blocked a couple of shots. He is a long, athletic prospect that has a ton of energy to go along with a wide skillset. Look for his strong play to continue.
Another great performance tonight from Aidan McDowell Aidan McDowell 6’4″ | SG Crete | 2024 State NE . Every time I’ve seen him play this summer, he’s played well. He knocked down several tough shots, including a very deep three. McDowell is known for his ability to put the ball in the basket. However, the Guard from Crete also plays really hard and with a lot of passion. He is out to prove that he can play with the best of the best in his class. So far this summer, he has done just that.
Asher Endorf Asher Endorf 6’4″ | SF Kearney | 2024 State NE looked really good tonight. Endorf is a long, wiry prospect who brings a ton of energy to his team. He can play above the rim at times as well. Tonight, Endorf made all the right plays and knocked in some big time shots to help his team cruise to an easy win. Look for his stock to continue to rise the rest of the summer, as he seems to have a knack for making winning plays.
Elijah Flowers Elijah Flowers 6’2″ | SG Valley | 2024 State NV had a solid outing against a big and physical Colorado Collective squad. Flowers hit some big shots, including deep threes and a couple of tough finishes around the rim. He also did a great job finding his open bigs when the defense would collapse on him in the paint. Flowers set the tone defensively as well, racking in several steals.
Jeremiah Toby
Jeremiah Toby
Jeremiah Toby played really well for Prominent Elite in the win versus Colorado Collective. Like his fellow backcourt member Elijah Flowers Elijah Flowers 6’2″ | SG Valley | 2024 State NV , Toby made some big time plays offensively, especially in the second half. The opposing team struggled to stay in front, as Toby found himself in the paint very often. He had a couple of fast break points too due to his stellar defense. Toby was also the vocal leader of his squad, commanding his team and controlling the game.
