Continue ReadingArch Madness brought together some high level talent from all over the country, into one location to battle it out to see who was going to end off their season as champions. Within this competition, some players from each grade level have displayed that they are going to be playing college basketball within the next few years. Below are just a handful of those players who I thought have a real chance at the next level. Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Derrick Hudson Derrick Hudson 6'7" | PF Fayetteville | 2026 State AR – 6’7 – Forward – 2026 – ABC Elite – Arkansas
Derrick Hudson Derrick Hudson 6'7" | PF Fayetteville | 2026 State AR has some high upside when it comes to the game of basketball. A player that just recently turned the age of 15, is years beyond his age level when it comes to the skill-side of the game. Not to mention that he pairs this skill with god-given height and athletic ability. Hudson was the difference maker on his team today in their contests whenever I had the chance to watch. A player like this has the ability to grow his game and become an absolute weapon at the D1 level. Being 6’7 and handling the ball like a point guard at 15 is something you don’t see every day, when you do, you take notice. Hudson has a Division 1 basketball ceiling, no doubt about it.
Tristian Watson – 5’10 – Point Guard – 2026 – Legendary Athletes 2026 – Arkansas
There is a lot of things I could say about Tristian Watsons game but to sum it up the best i’d say, he is an ultra-fast guard with great touch when he gets into the lane. There is not one player I saw today that could stay in front of Watson, throughout any age level. The speed he displays while attacking the lane is college level. He just needs to learn what do to with the ball a little better once he gets to the hoop. In this type of AAU setting, he isn’t going to get the calls he wants at the rim with contact, instead he needs to adapt to that slightly. His ability coming down the floor though is no joke. He is the definition of a lighting bolt out there. He will find his way onto a college court someday if he sticks with it.
Kaden Williams Kaden Williams 6'10" | C Southside Charter | 2026 State AR – 6’10 – Center – 2026 – Arkansas Ducks 2025 Camarata – Arkansas
Kaden Williams Kaden Williams 6'10" | C Southside Charter | 2026 State AR is a work in progress. With that being said, he showed glimpses this weekend of being really special. Williams stands at 6’10 and makes his presense known on the court. He has size and muscle to go along with that size. This helps William hold his own against other tall players that he might end up against. On multiple occasions this weekend Williams drove to the hoop off of the dribble and finished through contact like a guard, over players just as tall as him but who were much weaker. On some occasions he even stepped behind the three point line and knocked down a three pointer when the defense didn’t pop out. From the 5 games I saw Williams compete in at Arch Madness, I would say he is Division 1 bound as of right now. I’m excited to see what he could turn into over the next couple of seasons.
Asher Orlando Evans Orlando Evans 5'8" | SG Southside | 2027 AR – 6’0 – Combo Guard – 2025 – Pocket City 2025 – Indiana
Asher Orlando Evans Orlando Evans 5'8" | SG Southside | 2027 AR is all about the smoke when it comes to the game of basketball. Orlando Evans Orlando Evans 5'8" | SG Southside | 2027 AR is a player that talks the talk, walks the walk, and is always humble in his actions. He steps on the floor and you can just tell that he has a great feel for everything going on around him. On an AAU team that has several players that I think could play college ball, Orlando Evans Orlando Evans 5'8" | SG Southside | 2027 AR stood out the most to me this weekend. He plays with a chip on his shoulder, doesn’t take possessions off, listens to his coaches and communicates with them on everything happening on the floor, and is a good teammate to the guys around him. Not to mention that he is a bucket on offense, who can distribute and create for others. Some college out there is going to get a steal with this one at the end of the day and whoever it is, good for them because this kid can play high-level basketball.
Nate Robben – 6’5 – Forward – 2027 – GABL Future 16U – Kansas
Nate Robben is one of the youngest players that I saw competing this weekend in the 16U division but that didn’t stop him from showing that he has a high ceiling and bright future in the sport of basketball. Robben, a player out of the 2027 class in Kansas, is a high motor forward that can stretch the floor and play inside-to-out for his team. He has active hands and good feet, while displaying an act for knowing where the ball is going to land off of a missed shot, making him a superb rebounder compared to most around him. If he continues to grow over the next few years and expand his basketball game at the same time, watch out. We are talking about a potential college level player here that could make some noise, depending where he ends up.
