Additionally, the players are bought into winning, and seem like they have great team chemistry. This Nebraska Supreme team is super deep, as anyone is capable of going off for 15-20 points. Here are some of the athletes.
Kyle Cannon Kyle Cannon 6’3″ | CG Skutt Catholic | 2025 State NE , Omaha Skutt product and most recent state champion, is one of the leaders on this Nebraska Supreme squad. Cannon has a really pretty release from the three point line, and consistently finds the bottom of the net. Cannon is also a talented defender who has shown the ability to guard multiple positions. He is a reliable guy who makes winning plays for his team, and flat out finds a way to get it done. He is an impressive prospect, who is very versatile on both ends of the floor.
Tyson Odvody Tyson Odvody 6’7″ | PF Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE is one of the bigs on this Nebraska Supreme squad. He is very physical and uses his body very well down low. Odvody has a nice touch around the rim, especially with his right hand. He runs the floor very well for his size, and is mobile on the perimeter. Odvody is a hard worker defensively too, and a very solid rebounder. Look for his stock to continue to grow the rest of the summer, and into next year with Omaha Westside, as he will have a much bigger role on one of the top teams in Class A.
Highlights
Mari Shumaker Mari Shumaker 5’11” | PG Lincoln Southwest | 2025 NE is an elite playmaker for Nebraska Supreme. When the ball is in his hands on offense, good things typically happen. He is great at finding the paint, and has great chemistry with his bigs, as he finds them very often for dump offs and lobs around the rim. He is also a very crafty finisher inside around the rim. He has a variety of different finishes, and has great body control as well. Shumaker is one of the quickest guards in his class, and will make some noise as he is transferring to Lincoln Southwest to team up with some high level players.
Nixon Ligouri Nixon Ligouri 6’4″ | SF Auburn | 2025 State NE is a physical wing that has a lot of potential to be a really special player at the next level. Ligouri plays hard and has a college ready frame already. He can light it up from outside, but is also strong enough to take it into the teeth of the defense and score through contact. He is also a great defender and rebounder for his size. Ligouri will be a top player in the C1 class this coming year for Auburn.
An emerging guard in the state of Nebraska is Trell Snoddy Trell Snoddy 6’1″ | SG Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE of Nebraska Supreme 16U and Omaha Westside. Snoddy has a very pretty mid range jump shot with a high release. He is a great leaper around the rim and a solid playmaker when the ball is in his hands. Snoddy plays with great pace on offense as well. Because of the talent at Omaha Westside this past year, especially at the guard position, Snoddy saw limited action. However, if he continues to progress, expect him to have a very large role this coming year. He is a prospect at the guard position to track in the ’25 class.
