15U Selects White finished the season with a 15-17 record. Chris Speelmon was the head man for this squad. The Selects White team played a good brand of basketball and coach Speelmon did a nice job with this group. They saw improvement over the course of the AAU season, had fun, and made positive memories. It will be fun to keep an eye on these players and see how the progress over the school year. They played multiple Prep Hoops events and we are excited to get them back on the Circuit in the spring. Best of luck this winter!
“It was an up and down season for the 15U White team. We played really well at times and not so well at others. Overall, I see the season as a success. From the first to last tournament, we continued to improve on certain aspects of the game.” -Chris Speelmon
Team Info from Coach Speelmon
Highlights of the season: “Playing in 4 one-score games, the boys came together and found a way 3 times to come out on top.“
Top Shooters: “ Gradin Thorlakson Gradin Thorlakson 6'0" | SG Jamestown | 2026 State ND – Shooter’s mentality. He is a consistent outside threat and is very efficient when attacking the rim.“
“ Chase Speelmon Chase Speelmon 6'0" | SG West Fargo Sheyenne | 2026 State ND – Chase has the ability to score at 3 levels, but what makes him a good shooter is his movement on offense. He makes the right cuts at the right time giving him open looks.“
Most improved player: “ Gradin Thorlakson Gradin Thorlakson 6'0" | SG Jamestown | 2026 State ND – Beginning of the season Gradin had a tendency to force shots and was a little turnover prone. With a little guidance over the course of the season, Gradin chipped away and played more and more within the system. The result was a more efficient offensive player.“
Hardest workers: “ Landon Perry Landon Perry 6'1" | SF Bismarck Century | 2026 State ND and Jackson Barth Jackson Barth 6'4" | SF Bismarck St. Mary's | 2026 State ND – Both have put in extra time to expand their game. Usually playing the 5, they took what they learned over the summer and applied to playing the 4.”
Best defensive player: “ Cade Jundt Cade Jundt 5'9" | PG Bismarck Century | 2026 State ND – Cade has the speed, quickness and the mentality of a relentless 94 feet defender.“
Most fun tourney: “Prep Hoops Live – Started the tournament a little rough by dropping our first two games, but as the weekend progressed we came together and finished up with 2 wins.“
