Most of these guys played roles on last year’s teams, and it’ll grow in 2023. Below are eight names you should get familiar with before the regular season begins. Learn more about the 2026 class in part 1 and part 2.
Christopher Foote
Foote is a sweet shooting combo guard prospect. The long 6’3 rising sophomore needs to add strength to unlock his full game. Right now he’s more of a catch and shoot with the skills to attack close outs and finish with floaters.
Moore caught my eye with one play. He slashed to the basket from the right wing to finish over a crowd of athletic guys with college potential. The 5’9 speedster is an impressive athlete that plays with pace and gets separation with bursts. He’s a good downhill attacker. Moore plays in a three guard rotation who works really well with each other.
Burnett is an athletic 6’3 guard that plays with a high energy level. He showcased his jumper and ability to affect the game without scoring at FABC Camp. The week before, he had a 42 point game against Master’s Academy at UCF Camp.
Cummings is a 6’4 combo guard with scoring instincts. He has l touch on his jumper and floater. The rising sophomore initiates offense, scores off and on the ball. He has good length and may be on the verge of a breakout.
Swan is a lead guard that makes plans on both sides of the ball. He’s a solid defender with quick hands. Offensively, he has great passing instincts in early offensive sets. In the half court, he uses his quickness to get past defenders where he can hit pull up jumpers and find the open man. Not afraid of contact as a smaller guard.
Jasen Lopez
Lopez has been one of the state’s top scorers for two seasons and he’s only a freshman. Lopez is playing on a loaded roster with a ton of talented players so he wasn’t the offensive focal point he’s been in last years. His shooting beyond the three point line was the highlight of the game I saw.
Charles Gonzalez
Gonzalez is part of True North’s talented backcourt. He has good downhill moves and finishes through contact. He’s also a capable three point shooter.
