Class of 2025
Dukes was extremely down in the paint back down defenders on the low block. Kevin has a great old school skill set and seems most effective around the bucket. The left-handed Dukes plays bigger than his size on the floor. Kevin has a great set of hands to catch anything thrown in his direction. He will play this season at the newly formed SCISA school Riverpointe Christian Academy in North Charleston after playing last season at Stall HS.
Hendrix might be in his 3rd jersey this spring, but he continues to keep playing well for the Grand Strand based squad. Brayden understands on how to get open on the floor and make shots from the perimeter. He has good shot selection and understands on how to be productive from the perimeter. Hendrix will be back at Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach this fall. Brayden dropped 14 points in a win over the Fairfax Stars today.
Tre’von Walker Tre’von Walker 6'3" | CG Aiken | 2025 State SC
Walker is a left-handed rangy forward with a good skill set. Tre’von was moonlighting here with Big Shots Tri-Cities SE SC a team coached by Chasen Redd (Silver Bluff HS Girls Basketball Coach). Walker generally runs with the Carolina Lakers on the Grassroots Circuit.
Tre’von was able to elevate up on his mid-range jumpers today. Walker has good length in the passing lanes to pick up deflections all game long.
Class of 2024
Devin Grainger Devin Grainger 6'1" | PG Conway | 2024 State SC
Grainger was able to get the ball downhill in a hurry at times today for his team. Grainger a left-handed guard hails from nearby Conway HS in Horry County. Devin a Quarterback in the fall for the Tigers football team has been a very big part of the plans for the Tigers since his freshman season. Grainger really likes to play the game aggressively and on contact while attacking the cup. What sport will he play at the next level? Well, we still have some more Grassroots basketball to savior before worrying about that.
Ladontae Felton Ladontae Felton 6'2" | PG South Aiken | 2024 State SC
Boogie was in the building this weekend for Big Shots Myrtle Beach Live II running with Big Shots SC Select. Felton is explosive in the opening court and getting to the cup. Boogie can create his own shot and really excels in the transition game. Felton has received an offer from East Carolina University where his brother RJ currently plays for the Pirates.
Joey Tracey Joey Tracey 5'11" | PG Aiken | 2024 State SC
Tracey is the 3rd member to be mentioned here with Felton and Walker that plays at Aiken HS. Tracey just like Walker usually runs with the Carolina Lakers on the Grassroots Circuit. Tracey and Walker were some nice additions for this Big Shots Tri-Cities SE SC squad. Joey really plays well to the ball and always remains active at all times on the floor.
Turner is a long and lengthy forward can play inside-out at times if needed. He will look to stalk the baseline or simply knockdown the jumper in a defender’s face. Qayden has good versatility to handle the rock up the floor and shows the ability to defend multiple positions. He finished with 12 points in a loss to Flight 22 17U here today.
Carter Bobbitt Carter Bobbitt 6'4" | SF St James | 2024 State SC
Bobbitt has been effective and efficient for the Horry Select the past few weekends with his play. Carter surely isn’t flashy and won’t overwhelm you with anyone thing he does. He today was effective dropping 18 points vs the Fairfax Stars. He connected on some jumpers and putbacks around the cup. Bobbitt plays at St James HS in Murrells Inlet after moving in a season ago from the State of New Jersey.
Lytch finally made a return to action after being out for over a year with injury. The Wilson HS Tigers forward showed some rust but that was expected. Da’Mori has good length to be disruptive in the paint. He can challenge and alter shots on the defensive end of the floor. Lytch runs the floor well while filling the lane in the transition.
